Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

My son Daniel turned me on to this thing today, I'd never heard of it. It is called a 'handpan' and the craftsmanship that goes into making it rivals anything I've ever seen. It is also a beautiful-sounding instrument, kind of a weird sound but it is growing on me. Watch the whole video, you'll need about 20 minutes or so, and appreciate the time and effort that goes into building and tuning one of these things, it's extraordinary:

So buy two and you can do this!

I have it on bad authority that this piece was first written as the sound tract for a flash mob!!

my favorite flash mob

I love to hear Beethoven calling his children home.

Fweakin' kewel! I knew it had to sound like a steel drum just by looking at it. But it goes MUCH further. Looks like one is quite difficult to perfect. Thank your son for being hip to this newfangled (?) thing.

Kultchuh, can't beat it with a stick! Oh wait, yes you can. Almost forgot WWII.
This piece shows you why orchestras need proper venues. Sound quality just ain't right played just anywhere.
