My son Daniel turned me on to this thing today, I'd never heard of it. It is called a 'handpan' and the craftsmanship that goes into making it rivals anything I've ever seen. It is also a beautiful-sounding instrument, kind of a weird sound but it is growing on me. Watch the whole video, you'll need about 20 minutes or so, and appreciate the time and effort that goes into building and tuning one of these things, it's extraordinary:
