Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Mr. George i did try to put this where it belonged. but i can't find that.

it's in response to your post concerning the depravity of politics.

very little that we do together is really about right and wrong.
if/ when i offer you something along the lines of my own point of view
i'm offering what I consider a more skillful means.of dealing with the
reality/ego interface.

"but i say unto, resist ye not evil but flee from it.'
J.C. and friends

Here the reader must decide weather one nor more possible cases apply

1. We should not wrestle with the evil that offers itself even unto the best of men, but rather flee into positive action to escape it's seductive pull.

2. that we should not attempt to combat or right the wrongs we find in this world, but withdraw from the world ti live a sanctified lives among others who share your heart.

3. This is where things get tricky and we are called upon by the text to employ skillful means to find our way through to a good end.

Am I to walk indifferently past the man fallen by the wayside and under attack. No but engaging spiritually with his attackers is of no use.
so we flee from that into the positive action of doing what is necessary to
deliver the unfortunate from harm.
we do not take what the attackers are into ourselves we are not to engage them within ourselves lest we become what we oppose in spirit and fail in our duty.

"Be in the world, but not of it."

To be in the world is to know sorrow.
"Everywhere there is pain my love
Everywhere there is fear."

but we are not required to participate in the evil that makes this so.
We can withdraw inwardly while still remaining at our post we can deny evil any participation in our inward life, thus keeping our spirit clean as we battle tooth and nail to protect and deliver the innocent from harm.

how will i know if evil has crept in.
hate is the face of evil. It always tells us that we hate in good cause but you know it's a lie. love is the only good cause.

if who to forgive and what give you pause...Maybe you take to much upon yourself. Mankind is ill suited to judge this world as his/our hands are seldom clean.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged.'

"The quality of mercy is not strained
But falleth as a gentle rain.
and so blesses twice
both
the one who gives and the one who receives.'

“Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! for the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.”

This is the way of the human world. I invite you into a better one,
One that has only Mr. George to guard and protect it.

Thank you very, very much for this very well written and planned prescription for an easier and more sane life. I will try!

There is do or not do, not try. Aaw shaddup Mr Yoda.

Rockin' Rebels Wild Weekend

Were these guys young enough--or what? There are many, many covers of this song. Most done very well. HOWEVER, with no sax this song doesn't get off of the ground.

I've certainly heard of JJ Cale but I don't think I've heard or seen him before this. Not sure how enthused Mr Clapton is about this blatant upstaging.
I doubt that Clapton is having any problem with anything there. He has always said that Cale is one of his major influences, and has covered many of Cale's songs like Cocaine, After Midnight, and Traveling Light among others.

He recorded the album 'The Road to Escondido' with Cale, and when Cale died was well-involved with tributes to Cale's career.

I don't think Clapton would have any problem with Cale. He idolized him.

Another thing - that performance is at the Crossroads Festival, which is an EC-funded and sponsored event that is a benefit for his rehab center, so it's a charity event with artists hand-picked by Clapton, and there at his behest. I think he actually enjoys backing them up.

I **could** be wrong, but I doubt it.
