Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I doubt that Clapton is having any problem with anything there. He has always said that Cale is one of his major influences, and has covered many of Cale's songs like Cocaine, After Midnight, and Traveling Light among others.

He recorded the album 'The Road to Escondido' with Cale, and when Cale died was well-involved with tributes to Cale's career.

I don't think Clapton would have any problem with Cale. He idolized him.

Another thing - that performance is at the Crossroads Festival, which is an EC-funded and sponsored event that is a benefit for his rehab center, so it's a charity event with artists hand-picked by Clapton, and there at his behest. I think he actually enjoys backing them up.

I **could** be wrong, but I doubt it.

I would only add that I've never seen Clapton look so happy to be anywhere.":O)
OHJ! Cale does play the shit out of that guitar.

I learned a LOT from your post. Thank you! I thought "After Midnight" was a Clapton tune, what did I know?
And it's one of my favorite notClapton written songs.
