Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Thanks Daniel for explaining to me the error of my ways!

For you Heart fans (or Led Zeppelin fans) Here is one I listian to often. Warning-you will want to crank it up! It is just extraordinary.

Let's see if THIS Vimeo works:

Seems to. Heart is a fantastic group, hooray the Wilson Sisters. May they live forever and a day!

Now George you don't have to listen, but you will be missing something...

If you don't like the way he sings, check out his guitar picking... It's no easy thing to sing and accompany Emmy. His is a narrow range her is almost without limits.
They make music together, what better thing can any say of two people?

Mr Nelson also does a solo job with this tune. Different strokes for different yadda. His solo version bites. Hard. Imnsho.

We lost Leonard this year... I have loved and learned from so many of his songs.
But this song seems to tell the story of the man, at lest it tells the story of this man's life.

Here he reveals something of his heart and character.
This and a bird on a wire are my two favorite songs by him.
Please say a prayer for our brothers passing.

With Leonard I'm often unsure if he's singing to his girlfriend or to his God. I think in his writings he himself is often in doubt as to how a song will turn out; Holy or or holy with her name attached.":O}

I wanted to hear Jeff Buckley (Tim Buckley's son, both met untimely ends.) sing this last song from Leonard

This was the last song that Leonard Cohen wrote? Sincerely doubt that. It was covered by many, many artists. Long before I heard Leonard's own version. It is one of the greats. Jeff Buckley's take on the song is very well done. I could be wrong, and not the first time.

And Miley Cyrus has a lot more talent than I gave her credit for-Her backyard sessions are very easy on the ear. Leaves Dolly Parton sucking hind tit! IMO

This song pleasantly surprised me. Miley done good with this one. Can't say I find the young lady's version anywhere near a light year better than Dolly's.

OK my last Emmy post in this thread. One of my favorites that zeros in on what I find so compelling about her music. Faith without apologizes, straight up belief without blushing and the humility to bring it all home.

Nice song. However, Mr Cash was a real sheite to June Carter. Not widely known history yet, I guess.

No it doesn't! ":O}

When everyone you like likes someone you don't, you need to ask what it is you are missing?

Willy has duets with just about everyone above ground and more the a few now under the ground.. People who can tell anyone to go to hell. Yet there they are happy as clams to be standing next to him.
Now Willy by all accounts is a very good person, but no one has to sing with him, They beg for the chance.

So what are you missing George?

Looks like Dr Hook and the Medicine Show deserve more credit than I give them. I suppose I heard "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" one too many times.
If you can't tell, I like Dr Hook.There is a lot of humor in their music.
I seem to remember having this conversation with you, George, back on AOA some ten or so years ago.
Time do fly-
