Tron 2.0 Guide

Tron is probably the coolest idea for a game because of all the computer themes. I'm sure it was as fun to develop as it is to play! In Tron 2.0 you play as Jet in a all-too-well-known scenario fighting against the NCP and its minions. There are a lot of new weapons, upgrades, emails and permissions to use.

tron98.png

Follow my step-by-step guide on installing, configuring and optimizing Tron 2.0 in Linux with PlayOnLinux.

There are a lot of steps to Tron 2.0 running in PlayOnLinux but its totally worth it. Patching and a widescreen mod are necessary for it to run on modern systems. So bare with me and you will be playing Tron 2.0 in no time. You will find there is only one strange and comical bug...

Note: This guide applies to the Retail version of Tron 2.0. Other versions may require additional steps.

The Witcher 2 Guide

This is a very good sequel to the original Witcher, and in my opinion improves on the original in every aspect. The story progresses in a very satisfactory manner, combat is much more involving and exciting and the quests are also a lore more fun. This game features more environments than the previous game and excellent graphics.

We have been waiting to see if they would make the move....
I'm sure it will pan-out with a Linux category on their site. Then hopefully we'll see a lot of free games, old Linux games and indie games.

Its time for more companies to take notice!
Steam, Crytek and GOG are on board!

This is a point and click adventure game made in 2012 by the German developer Daedalic. The game features beautiful visuals and story that stuck by me long after I completed it. It plays very well on Linux, except for a few stalls when exiting dialogue or entering a new location, but nothing that diminish the gameplay.

Steam Bridge (Windows games & Wine?)

Bridge Windows games with Wine in the native Linux Steam:
SteamBridge

This sounds exactly like PlayOnLinux & Crossover front end for Wine...
But can they make up for lost time that PlayOnLinux has already proven successful?

Its a great idea, but they admit there isn't full permission from Valve and may affect your account & games if Valve decides to kill it.

Its sounds like a great idea... Launching Windows games with LinSteam but behind the scenes its using Wine.
Might as well give it a try... Just create a new Steam account and try it with some free-to-play games just in case Valve want's nothing to do with it.

This is the final game in the Quest for Glory series. By now the Hero has been through numerous challenges, is a hero of 4 lands and is quite experienced. This is also the only Quest for Glory game using a 3D environment, and the adventure aspects are have taken a step back for more rpg elements. The same wonderful humor of the previous games is still present.

Quest for Glory 1-4 Guide

The Quest for Glory series is from the days of Sierra adventure games. The first game was originally released in 1989 under the name Hero's Quest: So You Want To Be A Hero, but name was shortly changed to Quest For Glory since another company had just released another game with an almost identical title. The one thing that distinguishes these games from the other Sierra adventure games, are the rpg elements. You can select one of three classes when you start a new game, and you can import your character from the previous game into the next. Fighters also have the chance to become a Paladin, a class which is only available to an imported character that earned it in a previous game.

qfg_title.png

The first two games use a text parser. Meaning that you have to type what you want to do. There is a VGA remake of the first game, letting you use a point and click system. Personally I much prefer the original EGA version, but this guide will expain how to set up both, as...

How To Organize Your Steam Games with PlayOnLinux

  • 69,079

Are you tired of installing Steam multiple times using PlayOnLinux? Do you want to organize all your Steam games in one giant library (e.g Steam Library), then this guide is for you.

Installing multiple Steam client always drove me crazy with PlayOnLinux, when you see the big picture (no pun intended) you realize that you have over 100+ steam games and that you need to create a new virtual for each, and it's not even rare. Why one virtual drive for each game? There's something called regression, sometimes games break in new WINE releases, so people have to use the WINE version that works for that game.

Before we start:
  • By configuring it this way you will have to create the shortcuts for each single steam game. This might sound “bad”, but it's really easy.
  • We don't use the terminal as much in this guide, so rest at ease.
  • Please read through the notes and comments I leave. Skipping the registry steps could make Steam unstable. ...
