Stormrite in Proton

Stormrite is an in-development Open World RPG in a fantasy medieval world. Chose a class like archer, knight, assassin, mage and more... then weild realistic weapons and hack down your enemies. This public test version will put you in a small mountain arena where you can practice using the weapons, learn the physics and controls of the characters. The physics are pretty realistic like Chivalry, where each slice or arrow will contact their body and react accordingly. Its fun to watch how they recoil and swing realistically where you open yourself to danger if you are too offensive.

https://kerds78.itch.io/stormrite

Proton handles the demo fairly well in PlayOnLinux and I was able to play indefinitely by reloading the level every time my character died. I can't wait to see more locations and the "open world" the developers are advertising... but the weapons and realistic physics are top-notch and pretty fun. The demo is developed...

Just about anyone has played Half-Life 2 at this point and maybe even played Synergy... but did you know there is a native version for Linux?

Play again as Gordon Freeman and escape the city through canals, sewers, beaches, Ravenholm and City17. You aren't alone, not only is the rebellion there to help, but you can bring a few friends along! Enjoy the physics puzzles, jump tricks, hover jet and buggy with a few friends... you never know what is going to happen.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/17520/Synergy/

Synergy installed without issues and I was able to host on a LAN and my other PCs joined easily. You use the classic listenserver interface where you pick a level start the game. There have been a few unexpected bugs which is honestly... expected with mods. You can not save the game either, but Synergy packs an autosave and autospawn feature so you all can play cooperative together without loosing a lot of progress...

The world around is very detailed and you will discover many interactive elements to help you find evidence.

With the help of ProtonGE The Occupation Demo ran flawlessly in PlayOnLinux with my GeForce GTX 1060. Of course I still installed DXVK and Media Foundation. Initially I thought it wasn't running at all, but if you are patient, the first black-screen will start loading. I think there may be a bug with Media Foundation, so I wasn't able to see the intro videos... thankfully it did load and played just fine.

April Fall of Faith played perfectly in PlayOnLinux with Wine. This is a demo version of the full game, but there is a lot to do. Wine handles pixels games really well and I never had any serious issues. The game mechanics are fun and almost everything is interactive. I like how you have to gather the XP from monsters you kill in order to level up.

I never had any issues running it with Wine and my GeForce GTX 1060 handled the 2D graphics perfectly. This is a short game, but pretty dang fun and free. Escape Ayuwoki is a first person stealth horror game where your goal is to find your way out of the house without Ayuwoki finding you. This game is full of suspenseful moments of absolute terror! The monster is extremely sensitive to movement, sound and light. There are very limited areas you can go in order to traverse throughout the house, so take your time and investigate each area before moving ahead. If she catches you, then you have to start over.

The key to this game is to learn where you can hide and where you can't. The developer has done an amazing job creating hiding places in the game. You can use your flashlight to see if there is room under a table, behind a chair or under stairs. You will find that your character can actually fit into tight spaces. This is a unique feature because Ayuwoki will be moving quickly around the house looking for you. Your only warning is...
