Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I've temporarily abandon my usual approach to music, Which is to simplly let it play as i t may and let it take me where it wants me to go.

A gesture to a dear friend seeking to improve my life. This is among my new favs.

Interesting interplay between 12-String and that 8-String little "guitar" (edit Mandolin, me dumb at times)that I can't remember the name of atm.

This now seems more relevant than when I first heard it some 40 or more years ago.

[Verse 1]
I pity the poor immigrant
Who wishes he would’ve stayed home
Who uses all his power to do evil
But in the end is always left so alone
That man whom with his fingers cheats
And who lies with every breath
Who passionately hates his life
And likewise, fears his death

[Verse 2]
I pity the poor immigrant
Whose strength is spent in vain
Whose heaven is like Ironsides
Whose tears are like rain
Who eats but is not satisfied
Who hears but does not see
Who falls in love with wealth itself
And turns his back on me

[Verse 3]
I pity the poor immigrant
Who tramples through the mud
Who fills his mouth with laughing
And who builds his town with blood
Whose visions in the final end
Must shatter like the glass
I pity the poor immigrant
When his gladness comes to pass

Please, don't take any rejection of any "strictures" of yours that I am unable to respond to as you might wish personally.
Mr Dylan's guitar is out of tune. He's probably making a statement with that. Mongo find song harder to accept if it's out of tune.

The one who gives
The one who receives
The one who gives back again.

This is Alma. He almost exclusively used his daughters as models. I like to think money wasn't a consideration, but as he was an Artist money must have been scarce, but the beauty of his daughters was easy to find.

Like the painting very much. Sorry to admit that I am not familiar with this artist's works.

Please do continue posting works of art you care about!

Fats Domino is the bomb, as we used to say before that horrible day in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. I love the guy and was fortunate enough to see him live once in Seattle. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand after the first note he played.

Thanks for posting it, perhaps our Members will benefit from our good taste. JK.
Yes, I know this one. It's a great Knopfler tune. It's perhaps funny that her daughters didn't inherit ANY of Emmylou's good looks, at least in the pic I've seen. Poor kids, talk about life being unfair.

Busted! I knew it was not what I'm use to or as good, But live has a way of doing that at times

All of my faves are not great songs. Shoot me already.

Ray Charles is at the very top of the heap in great talent.

I don't like Willie Nelson. He's been around forever and has sung every song there is. His voice simply irritates me. I won't go into the performance of his on Austin City Limits that pushed my dislike into the permanent and irrevocable zone.
Sorry, had to complain about something I guess.

I have 12 of Alma, This is probably my favorite.

Hey! Your getting good at this ! just keep practicing,I'll keep listening.
but what lyrics do you find objectionable?

The ones about feeling like he wants to commit a terrible crime. That's not on my menu. Thank god.

Here's one by the Indigo girls. A former GF really liked them and I like this one as well as she did.

For me they were secret heart of all my youthful imaginings.
