Play as stealth assassin Corvo in the city of Cornwall, attempting to purge the city of corrupt politicians who murdered the Empress. Save the princess with cold dead assassinations or passively take out each enemy without shedding blood. The choice is yours... as you traverse huge castles and forts with multiple paths to your objective. Use clever skills to sneak and stealth unseen or slay guards with hungry rats or worse...

Half-Life 2 Co-op Synergy Mod

Just about anyone has played Half-Life 2 at this point and maybe even played Synergy... but did you know there is a native version for Linux?

Play again as Gordon Freeman and escape the city through canals, sewers, beaches, Ravenholm and City17. You aren't alone, not only is the rebellion there to help, but you can bring a few friends along! Enjoy the physics puzzles, jump tricks, hover jet and buggy with a few friends... you never know what is going to happen.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/17520/Synergy/

Synergy installed without issues and I was able to host on a LAN and my other PCs joined easily. You use the classic listenserver interface where you pick a level start the game. There have been a few unexpected bugs which is honestly... expected with mods. You can not save the game either, but Synergy packs an autosave and autospawn feature so you all can play cooperative together without loosing a lot of progress...

Play as a covert journalist who is investigating suspicious characters and questioning them about the evidence you have uncovered. Each objective can be solved in may different ways... in a way this is a sandbox stealth mystery game. The world around is very detailed and you will discover many interactive elements to help you find evidence.

https://www.gog.com/game/the_occupation_demo

With the help of ProtonGE The Occupation Demo ran flawlessly in PlayOnLinux with my GeForce GTX 1060. Of course I still installed DXVK and Media Foundation. Initially I thought it wasn't running at all, but if you are patient, the first black-screen will start loading. I think there may be a bug with Media Foundation, so I wasn't able to see the intro videos... thankfully it did load and played just fine.

April Fall of Faith is a pixel-art action RPG with rogue-like elements. Something terrible has happened to the world and you are here to stop it... or are you? Fight against bats, slime, demonic-eyeball and many other creepy creatures. Your best friend is a demon, but what does that make you? Loot, craft and enter the demon-dimension in this maze-like world.

https://aprilgame.itch.io/april-the-game

April Fall of Faith played perfectly in PlayOnLinux with Wine. This is a demo version of the full game, but there is a lot to do. Wine handles pixels games really well and I never had any serious issues. The game mechanics are fun and almost everything is interactive. I like how you have to gather the XP from monsters you kill in order to level up.

I originally posted a guide for The Haunted as an Unreal Tournament 3 guide, but later posted Hell's Reach in PlayOnLinux. The game ran fine and Wine handled Unreal engine without any issues. The only problem was installing Windows Steam and configuring everything in PlayOnLinux. Today Proton makes it simple and easy. Download, set compatibility with Proton and play. Nuff Said!

Symphonia is a 2D platformer with beautiful animation and interactive levels. Watch the backgrounds animated as you move from one area to another. I never had any issues running it with Wine and my GeForce GTX 1060 handled the 2D graphics perfectly. This is a short game, but pretty dang fun and free. I still had to install DirectX June 2010 Redistribute for all of the xact, xaudio overrides. Escape Ayuwoki is a first person stealth horror game where your goal is to find your way out of the house without Ayuwoki finding you. This game is full of suspenseful moments of absolute terror! The monster is extremely sensitive to movement, sound and light. There are very limited areas you can go in order to traverse throughout the house, so take your time and investigate each area before moving ahead. If she catches you, then you have to start over.

You can use your flashlight to see if there is room under a table, behind a chair or under stairs. You will find that your character can actually fit into tight spaces. This is a unique feature because Ayuwoki will be moving quickly around the house looking for you. Your only warning is...

The zombie apocalypse has arrived and begun a whole new war! World War Z is a co-op third-person shooter very similar to Left4Dead series. With an arsenal of weapons you will try to escape linear levels with your friends (or bots) and survive massive hordes of zombies.

World War Z is one of the rare games that actually works in PlayOnLinux with Epic Games Launcher. I had to do a bit of trial-n-error just to get the Launcher working by adding Media Foundation, Visual C++ 2019 and DXVK, but it actually works. The only issues I had playing this game is a bit of stutter at the begging of each level. I'm sure there is some caching going on there and its annoying, but if you are patient, it eventually begins to run well. I also had to crank down the settings as...
