Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Small guy, huge voice. I always wondered where that power came from.

Steve Marriott was a greatly underrated singer. I've always liked him, especially with Humble Pie.

Good to know I'm not alone in my appreciation. Didn't know he was small.
Only knew he was "All to beautiful." ":O}

I lived in Lemon Grove, "THEY" lived in Logan Heights. Maybe 5 or 6 miles apart, but we never saw each other, never played together. This troubled me greatly as a child.

When this song came out I felt as if the Vail had parted and I saw the pain and sorrow my neighbors had to endure. My colored neighbors had to endure.

So here is rock and Roll poverty. Here's what it takes to escape it, at lest in fiction.

And the Trumpolini is throwing gasoline on the hatred and prejudice that we may never be able to rise above.

I didn't know that Steve Marriott was in Humble Pie, they made some smash hits iirc. Thanks for letting me know about Humble Pie!

Pie me!

The release version was better. But this is just fine.

Shoot, I found the better version on Youtube, but it's lost now. Sorry!

Humble Pie was also the band that made Peter Frampton famous.

Steve Marriott died in a house fire, at 44, when he came home stone drunk one night and smoked in bed.

Here are some of my favorite HP tunes:

Thank TR and Cloasters that was exactly what I wanted! ":O}

What decades were they active. I recolonize several of their songs...but can't put my finger on when I first heard them.

"The Life and Times of Steve Marriott" is sure educational. Spooky Tooth, Studer Revox, Peter Frampton, and Orange amplifiers, amazing. All reminders of an important past!

I knew very little about Mr Mariott, he demanded much more acknowledgement than I realized. Mea culpa.

Long time favorite. How often do you hear your name called by the music?
This one is for me and Danrock...but the rest of you can sing along! ":O}
