Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I can easily understand your reaction to Abba. At first I thought the same way. Over the years, and it's been many now I have grown a great appreciation for them. They worked hard for ten tears before "Waterloo" won the Eurovision song competition as "ABBA" in 1974. Their music was remarkable, and still is. It's weathered well four decades later. There are many tribute bands, but it's very difficult to sound as good as the original.

They were dedicated musicians and wrote many great tunes. It's too bad that lots of other musicians "get" how great they were but many of the general public don't realize how difficult it was and is to perform as they did. For instance, "Dancing Queen" covers two octaves, no joke to sing, especially strongly. If you don't like them that's fine!
OK OK! I let a first impression cloud my ears. I have found myself enjoying a few things they did and I hated me for it! ":O}

Upon reflection it 's the disco thing. I've never excepted that Rock should be followed by Disco.
is why I live in seclusion! LOL

Here's the version played at the start of Borderlands 2
BTW I disagree with the first postings lyrics. so listen with your own ears.

This is not the version that plays in Borderlands. I could not get that one to play...gots the studders it does!

I miss PPM a lot. I dissed one of his choices, so it may be My Bad. If so, I APOLOGIZE porporme!!

Oh well, it isn't or at least wasn't considered "manly" to talk of physical ailments once upon a time. Unbelievably, the chief surgeon at Seattle's VA did the operation. Nowadays they make a few small holes in you to do operations, if they can. They're ugly little scars but they've healed very well. One of them could, I say could be seen as a bullet scar, but it's entirely too fresh to be mistaken as a war ""trophy."" And that's a GOOD thing, those kind of "trophies" no one wants or needs.
Happy you decided to share with us!":O}
Oh and hey!
You can make those little holes bigger with your finger if you want! ":O}

After years and years I have finally admitted to myself that I didn't like Bob Marley as much as I wanted to. Here's why I wanted to. he's singing my song, the one I could never have written myself. For me, this song covers all the exits.

I awaken my hero from his youth and let him mean just what he says...and he was only very young!!

The winds of change have changed direction a few times since last we spoke.

George had a hernia operation but doesn't want us to talk about it.
At lest that's my guess as he's only mentioned it in passing, I mean who are we that we should know he's going under the knife?

(I'm mildly chiding you George for not keeping us up to date.)

I've missed your posts Por Por. I thought we were going to survey the music of our lives together? ":O}

Have things taken a turn?

I'm hoping you just got busy with family and friends.
Heard any good tunes lately? ":O}

It is very hot around here and in a small apt my computers crank out enough heat that I shut them down for the month. They compete with the air conditioning.
My health has slide back a little-but being bi-polar it's to be expected.

Understood. I place mine right in front of my air conditioner. I still can maintain 20 degrees lower than out side temps.
Weather expected or no, I'm sorry you've had a setback. Not much fun to be had in suffering is there.

Just grab the cool of the evening when you can and keep us posted until fall. Winter is the season for overclocking anyway! Am I the last overclocker? I just knew I could do it! LOL

Me neither. I thought dicso (oh dear, did I misspell that?) sucked. The true horror is that I liked the Bee Gees in retrospect, but not their "disco" tunes very much.

What's perhaps even more insulting to we people with taste is that "Country" saved Rock. Help me, please!

I never thought that Abba was disco, but it's quite possible I got that wrong.

Both versions play OK for me. Seems I was mistaken and can't say for certain that I heard castanets in the first iteration.
I couldn't play it at full blast because of the hour being late, now I've heard both versions at full volume. My bad!!
I think I originally slipped into the "it SHOULD be there" zone. As I "heard" the castanets they were a perfect part of the song.

Seems it was clever drum work after all. Oh, the ignominy, oh the shame!

Hello porporme! It's wonderful to hear from you, thank you for posting!
I'm sure that you are serious about the heat, it was 92F here yesterday, bet it's more than 105F in your neighborhood.
Ai, Chihuahua!

What's air conditioning? Does that mean you beat heat into submission? No doubt, you need it in your neighborhood!
Nearer the coast we don't have it. Don't worry, we don't deserve it here either!

Let us pray that the heat wave doesn't Californicate us! Such troubles no one should have to deal with.

I've loved the man for years yet it seems my love was lower in importance, but not really less because I loved the rebel in him.
I've never heard this one before, you are absolutely right, it's very important, and most excellent.
Thank you for stirring it up!!

Overclocking? does that still exist? Just plug in a new CPU and your off to the races!

I'm running 2 rigs full time crunching F@H numbers and I'm not inclined to move them! No surie!
