OK OK! I let a first impression cloud my ears. I have found myself enjoying a few things they did and I hated me for it! ":O}I can easily understand your reaction to Abba. At first I thought the same way. Over the years, and it's been many now I have grown a great appreciation for them. They worked hard for ten tears before "Waterloo" won the Eurovision song competition as "ABBA" in 1974. Their music was remarkable, and still is. It's weathered well four decades later. There are many tribute bands, but it's very difficult to sound as good as the original.
They were dedicated musicians and wrote many great tunes. It's too bad that lots of other musicians "get" how great they were but many of the general public don't realize how difficult it was and is to perform as they did. For instance, "Dancing Queen" covers two octaves, no joke to sing, especially strongly. If you don't like them that's fine!
Upon reflection it 's the disco thing. I've never excepted that Rock should be followed by Disco.
is why I live in seclusion! LOL
