Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Of everything I've posted, I feel like this is the masterpiece. A perfect combination of Sight and sound.
This thing has been in my head since I found and posted it.

This time with the lyrics, So we can sing along! ":O|
Oh! Dig who wrote this at the bottom of the lyrics, quite a surprise for me, I just assumed Santana pend it.":O}

Smooth
Santana
Man, it's a hot one
Like seven inches from the midday sun
Well, I hear you whispering in the words, to melt everyone
But you stay so cool
My muñequita, my Spanish Harlem, Mona Lisa
You're my reason for reason
The step in my groove
And if you said this life ain't good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you're so smooth
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it
But I'll tell you one thing
If you would leave it would be a crying shame
In every breath and every word
I hear your name calling me out
Out from the barrio
You hear my rhythm on your radio
You feel the turning of the world, so soft and slow
It's turning you round and round
And if you said this life ain't good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you're so smooth
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it
Or else forget about it
Or else forget about it
Let's not forget about it
Give me your heart, make it real
Let's not forget about it
Let's not forget about it
Let's not forget about it
Let's not forget about it
Let's not forget about it
Songwriters: Robert Thomas / Itaal Shur

I like it. It's so nice that Carlos finally, finally learned that less is more sometimes. I'm envious of his guitar. Check out the mother of pearl bird inlays on the neck. Paul Reed Smith. But it's not a bass. Whew! Envy gone.

Holy art of recording, Batman! Definitely watch the video offered at the end of Carlos Santana's and Robert Thomas's song. Courtney Hadwin in America's Got Talent.
How do you like that, the link to the amazing Courtney Hadwin changed into sumpthin' else.

Janis Joplin is almost back!

I was seventeen and it was hot summers day in Sad Diego, I had just started out the door to get the mail and this stopped me in my tracks. Unfortunately this became the only song by Bill That I really liked

This is the only tune of Bill Withers that I remember. In retrospect, meh.

The dramatic moment every music lover yearns for.
When in breathless excitement a new talent walks out in to the light.
Thanks George.

For a cold start jam, really quite wonderful.":O}

Thank you very much Dan, I'm well aware of "... From Daryl's House." 'Fraid that this particular session doesn't reveal Cheap Trick at their best. At all. Maybe they're simply too old?

A whole bunch of my favorite singers!

And Linda Ronstadt sang these songs better by herself than all of these women together do. Maybe being hungry for a career makes one a better singer than being a successful one does?

Of course these singers are a lot older than Linda was. Age is harder on women's voices than men's. If you want to know why, please just ask.

On Music ...

I can't think of a single artist that I wholeheartedly support that I don't feel that some things standout and above other things they have done.

Some believe that women and men's voices get worse with age. Then perhaps they have failed music.
they have listened only with their ears. The shallowness form of attendance.

some seem to think that music and art owe them something. That they have some God given criteria that must be met. This is the vanity of critics everywhere. They hated Van Goth because he informed them with every brush stroke that their criteria can never contain any art form that LIVES.

Music does not take place in the voice, or instrumentality. They only vibrate according to fixed laws of physics.
which has her own beauty, in that she so perfectly describes the beauty of other things.

Music does not take place in the ear. It only picks up and revives vibrations. It makes no discrimination between what "IT FEELS" is a good vibration or a bad one, unless the ear is being injured. It hears all sound within it's capability without discrimination.

Music only partially takes place in the brain and only as an after effect on having listened to the ear.

Yet music does not take place in the ear.

The most wondrous music the world has ever inspired us to make languishes in the either
unfulfilled by ten thousand ears until by the magic of the gods she touches and reaches into a living beating
heart.

Music take place in two hearts, always two, two is the minimum for Music. the minimum number by which music can propagate among us.

People everywhere love "Their" music. And the music they love most is the music they make for themselves. music always fits the shape of the heart Of him or her who makes it.

When music fits the shape of the creating artists heart there will always be other hearts that hear him or her calling

The brain can analyze music and try to determine why we found this or that so pleasing or so annoying.
But the heart decides what musics best fits it's shape.

Some hear a deterioration over time due to aging. I hear a deepening resonance a more selfless walk between artist and their muse. You see, always two. ":O}

There is beauty in the voices of the old. For the most part they stop trying to sound good and allow themselves to sound sincere.Corporations want to make music for the ear, artists are always struggling to make the music of their hearts.

They come to us you know with their hearts on their selves, they give us the very best they have and sometimes that's not very good. But here's the thing if it's completely sincere it defects can safely be overlooked in favor of it's accomplishments..For sincerity insures their future progress.

Most would, mistakenly say that Bob Dylan never could sing for shit. To which most of us who love him would say..."So"?
He fits the shape of our hearts.

So no I don't agree that young voices are better than old ones. They each have their beauty and must meet the demands of their muses. Must fit the shape of someone's heart.

Mr Durante gave thousands of performances thought out his life.

His radio show came later in his life.He would end the show with this line.

"Good night night Mrs. Calabash..."
His pet name for his beloved.

After her passing from a long pain filled illness He added

"Good night night Mrs. Calabash where ever you are."

Tens of thousands tuned in just to hear him say good night. For music sings in devotion and remembrance. Fidelity is the path walked by the truly sincere.

This is the song he shared with my mother as I sat next to her and she wept.

I don't wish to be "shallowed" in my appreciation of music by one incorrect observation of your's that boots me into "stating" an ignorant comment I never made. You wrote: "Some believe that womens and men's voices get worse with age." Assuming that this refers to me, as it certainly appears to, I must say in reply: "tsk, good sir!"
I never wrote that. I simply stated that age is harder on women's voices than men's.

And offered to tell you why.

I can understand why your mother wept. It's all right there in Mr Durante's song.

My response came after numerous criticisms on your part of various artists.
To often I feel that that you advance opinion as fact rather than preference or personal view.

That I for one don't believe that criticizing the music others post. is beneficial.
we post to share our enjoyment. Not to be told why it doesn't measure up.

In short I feel you are forgetting that we posted because we at lest like if not love a particular piece of music.

What you see as flaws others may well see as innovation or a personal insight by an artist.

One comment that I found personally annoying is that Santana has finally learned that less is more???

What? Did he he use "to many notes" In Black magic woman?

Dude your talking about one of the very best guitar players of his generation.
Millions love and everyone respects what he has to bring to music and the music he brings to us.

We all have our opinions and I feel that every opinion should be respected. We do this by remaining sensitive to the fact that other may have differing opinions.

I guess I'm advocating that if one must offer such criticisms that they be contained within the songs you post so as to not lesson the pleasure of the one who posted it.

We all make mistakes, this one is yours":O}
