With

"I'll be waiting, in the time, after time.

So as I sing along with Cyndi I have my way with her lyrics.":O}

Good suggestion. Then again, she and the song's writers made it as they wanted to. Always something!

Seems that the woman who sung her heart out in her part of the song was called at 4AM or other un-Godly hour and asked to come to the studio. She was surprised that it was the Stones. Supposedly she gave birth prematurely because of the oomph she put into her part. I always thought that her part was the most important piece of that tune.

She's the sister of Little Feat's Sam Clayton, Merry Clayton. I never heard the pregnancy story, but if it's true, it's a good one.

Thank you for the information, PPM! I'm afraid that she miscarried, even worse than a premature birth. Sorry I forgot this sad fact in my post.
