Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

That's a great analysis of the song.

I like where Rick says, 'David Gilmour and Roger Waters had a disagreement about the rhythm tracks'.

That was pretty much a daily thing with those two, lolz. Maybe hourly ;)

One of Rick's very best. Love the song, and blush, love Rick too. And while we're at it, big love to Pink Floyd. What a song!!

"Haunts Of Ancient Peace"

Beside the garden walls,
We walk in haunts of ancient peace.
At night we rest and go to sleep
In haunts of ancient peace.
The love and light we seek,
The words we do not need to speak,
Here in this wondrous way we keep
These haunts of ancient peace.
Let us go there again
When we need some relief
Oh, when I can't find my feet
When I need rest and sleep.
The Sunday bells they chime
Around the countryside and towns
A song of harmony and rhyme
In haunts of ancient peace.
The holy grail we seek
On down by haunts of ancient peace.
We see the new Jerusalem
In haunts of ancient peace.
Oh, when I can't find my feet
Oh, when I need some relief
One more time again.
You know I want to go there one more time again.
Be still in haunts of ancient peace.
(Be still)

I can only say Amen.

Harold Melvin And The Bluenotes - If You Don't Know Me By Now

This song has many covers. I think it's because this song plays in a very deep groove.
We want to be known by those we love, When we are not, we just have to know when to throw in the towel.
This song has heart break in every refrain.

A truly great torch song as it sets the heart ablaze

No greater question lays before us than this,
How do we raise a child?

"Rise up a child in the way he should go
and when he is old he will not depart from it."

So how do we know if we did our job well?
Perhaps When they refuse to pay their bail.

Mr George I want to thank you for posting this, listened a dozen times.
What intrigues me about this song is that just by repeating one word twice he takes us from high school to the ashrams of India!
"young young an dum"

See if you hear this as well":O)

Another song of many covers, But none give me that, "It's just perfect" feeling so much as Credence.
This is very clear water indeed! LOL

.

This song tuns conventional morality on it's head.
Miss Rosey is dressed for the kill!
"Come to see the governor with a piece of paper in her hand,
come to free her man."

And by the loving God she's praying he's corrupt!

A dishonorable afternoon under a fat governor
in exchange for years of internment and separation from her love

Would you let your wife make such a bargain?
Would she be your wife if she wouldn't?

I just gotta say Jesus would have said **** him and be done with it
"resist ye not evil,
but flee from it."
You can see why me and Jesus aren't welcome in very many Christen churches.":O)
