Yes, that is the screensaver button, if you click it can you choose from a list of screensavers?
I have nothing... its just blank.
Been like that since Mint 19

I'm using Mint 20.1 64-bit as well! Loving it!
But I do miss the screensavers... not sure where they went?

By "screensavers" I think you mean backgrounds that change every five, ten or whatever minutes if you want them to? And not like the MS screensavers of old that danced and moved and like that there?

I hope so, I can't remember any Linux screensavers that were like MS's real (blasphemy!) screensavers of yesteryear.

Oh! I forgot to tell you you don't have to touch my keyboard, It puts it self to sleep in less than 30 seconds of your inattention. (Saves batteries) You just need wave your hand over it. and heave ho and up she rises.....Just so cool! LOL
