Hogwarts Legacy in Proton

The one and only Harry Potter game that has EVERYTHING! Except Harry Potter of course...
Explore the epic halls of Hogwarts, solve puzzles, attend classes, learn spells, interact with other students... the game seems endless.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open world 3rd person adventure with all kinds of features that most games never boast and its all there. All the magic, exploration, flying, potions, animals, enemies and much much more. The main storyline campaign is interesting, full of mystery, fantastic characters and plot.

The first issue you will notice in Linux is a very very long black screen loading before the menu. I've researched and found this happens on consoles and Windows. I'm not sure why it happens but it can literally take 20 minutes. Honestly its worth it! This game is SO MUCH FUN! I can't believe all the interactive elements and action. You really get to fly which is something I've wanted since Skyrim! There are some other...

Assassin's Creed Origins in Proton

My previous post on Assassin's Creed Origins regarded Discovery mode where you can explore and learn about Egypt, Greece and the Roman Empire. This is a non-violent way to play, explore, climb and learn.

Assassin's Creed Origins is much more than just exploring, there are complex stories of murder, traitors, foul-play and much more. Traverse the wide variety of terrain in the middle east as you fight soldiers, hide in the shadows, slay crocodiles, fight in an arena, stealth execute officers or escape by the skin-on-your-teeth.

I've spent over 90 hours revealing the entire map of the middle east, completing main quests and side quests... and there is still much more to do and explore. There is easily over 400+ hours of gameplay here and it pays off!
Initially Origins ran pretty well in Proton 5.0-10 with my GeForce GTX 1060... but later on I started getting some...

You have a crush in school and are completely obsessed with this person... but someone else gets in the way...
What if you could eliminate that person?
In Yandere Simulator you CAN!

Yandere demo is a story of a girl who is obsessed with a boy and wants to keep all the other girls out of the way. You can walk around a populated school and interact with people, object, weapons, hide, change clothes, change posture and of course... cleverly murder the threat!

https://yanderesimulator.com/

I was able to play the demo from a direct download. Apparently the Launcher has some issues so I didn't even try it. I used PlayOnLinux to setup a wineprefix and extracted the game to it. Then I used Wine 6.0 64-bit to test the game, but had some issues with fullscreen and mouse. I eventually settled on ProtonGE 5.9 because it ran perfectly! No serious issues with my GeForce GTX 1060.

[Guide] Running Child of Light on Linux

Hello everyone, today I’ll be posting a guide on how to run Child of Light, a beautifulRPG game by Ubisoft. This how-to requires you to have minimum knowledge of the terminal. Do not fret though, if you do all the steps you shouldn’t worry about a thing.

My guides don’t include installation process. I will only include them when I see the need to have one. I got Child of Light on Steam, however the process should be similar to uPlay too. You can contact me through e-mail, please understand that I might be busy and it’ll take a while for me to reply.

UPDATE:

Due to taking down the virtual private server (VPS) soon I've taken a snapshot of the archives I've uploaded related to WINE. Issue has been solved. Leaving link as backup either way.

You can find it all here
