GOG.com finally decided to start supporting Linux

We have been waiting to see if they would make the move....

This sounds exactly like PlayOnLinux & Crossover front end for Wine...
But can they make up for lost time that PlayOnLinux has already proven successful?

Its a great idea, but they admit there isn't full permission from Valve and may affect your account & games if Valve decides to kill it.

Its sounds like a great idea... Launching Windows games with LinSteam but behind the scenes its using Wine.
Might as well give it a try... Just create a new Steam account and try it with some free-to-play games just in case Valve want's nothing to do with it.

Quake has been an on-going franchise begginning with the first game to be completely developed in 3D. It's popularity grew and now there are several Quake games with focus on single-player and multi-player game types.



ID Software has always released Linux binaries for their games, so Quake 4 has native support in Linux.

• Scripts
• Shortcuts
• Wine
• Wineprefix

Uninstall the old PlayOnLinux, then install the new one.
After that drag-n-drop those backed up folder back to your .PlayOnLinux folder in home and you are ready to go!
