Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Thank God for the medium of motion pictures and later digital recording and replaying.

Could that man dance? How does one say YES! more emphatically than ever?

I've always loved this song thank you very much for posting the link!!

To make matters clear and dispel uncertainty.

George I hold you in my highest regard. You have had to endure things I prefer not to imagine.
You have been betrayed by friends and country. Your poor body is a wreak.

Your mind plagued by voices not your own.

Yet there you stand a top the ruble of you life.
And
"There's a light that shines around you
That gives me
Just a little sweetness, just a little light."

Thank you for being always my friend.

What a beautifully expressed sentiment. Thank you very much Daniel! Ditto for me I'll always love you too.

Fortunately I don't hear voices, it only happened once. Brother, that's a terrible feeling.

Rudolf Nereev The dancer said of Fred
"The most graceful dancer I have ever seen."
I think the world will hold on to Fred a bit longer than most.

"Trying to look like Gary Cooper, super-duper.":O}

I meant my voice in your head (not really":O}

I meant the voices of self doubt.

Lovely song. Summer is being a bit late for us this year. How lucky we are, the weather has been terrible for much of the country.
When you live near/in a forest that burned two years ago...you just naturally start
praying for rain around July.
This year we've had rain in July, Thank you Lord of all.":O}

My mother sang this song with my head in her lap as she cleaned my ears with a bobby pin. The pipes, when they call from Glen to Glen are piping war. No man could refuse this call.

Danny Boy
Celtic Woman
Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling,
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow,
It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow,
Oh, Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so!
But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!

Night Moves
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
I was a little too tall could have used a few pounds
tight pants points hardly renown
she was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
points of her own settin way up high
way up firm and high
out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
out in the backseat of my sixty chevy
workin on mysteries without any clues
workin on our night moves
tryin to make some frontpage drive-in news
workin on the night moves
in the summertime
mmm in the sweet summertime
we weren't in love, oh no far from it
we weren't searchin for some pie-in-the-sky summit
we were just young and restless and bored
livin by the sword
and we'd steal away every chance we could
to the backroom, to the alley, or the trusty woods
I used her, she used me, but neither one cared
we were gettin our share
workin on our night moves
tryin to lose the awkward teenage blues
workin on our night moves
mmm and it was summertime
mmm sweet summertime summertime
ohhh
wonderin
felt the lightning yeah
and we waited on on the thunder
waited on the thunder
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves
when just dont seem to have as much to lose
strange how the night moves
with autumn closing in
mmm
night moves
mmmm
night moves
yeah
i remember
oh sure remember the night moves
aint it funny how you remember
aint it funny how you remember
i remember i remember i remember i remember
oooohh ohh ohh
and we were workin
workin and practicin
workin and practicin all of the night moves
night moves
ooooh i remember
yeah yeahi remember
lord i remember lord i rememeber

Truth is I've never really cared for Elvis. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Truth is I can't imagine anyone doing this one better.
It's an old song, old before Elvis was born.
