Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

"Wipeout" was played to death. As a teenager I thought it was cool, but I heard it ten too many times.
Ah! So you've never seen Tahitians dance to wipe out then.
Cause that shit don't ever get old! LOL

Actually, Linda, (I love this last name) Alapronte wasn't really Tahitian but she was sixteen and danced with a fire in her eyes.... Always been sorry I missed out on that one......Wipeout!! lol

Sounds like I really missed something of value. Highly unusual!

I always liked this song, but never caught who was doing it.

Peter Cetera has an enviable voice for modern music. I read that he was impossible to work with so he was fired from the Chicago Transit Authority. Seem to recall that his ego was too large and his dependability was uncertain. But David Foster loves him! I know, who cares?

This one is by Danrock

Thank you for the great pic, danrok! All of that blue sea and sky was photographed in the British Isles? Remember the sky as permanently gray in jolly olde.
No, not really but warmth and sun were at a premium.

Oh shit! I think you just knocked the world off it's axis! Did no one warn of about Billy Joel overload?

I think it's going to be alright! I'm fine. is the world still spinning where you are??

Thanks Daniel for explaining to me the error of my ways!

For you Heart fans (or Led Zeppelin fans) Here is one I listian to often. Warning-you will want to crank it up! It is just extraordinary.
I'm a sucker for the long slow build up, you feel it coming, then it's upon you!!

Addendum. This is a response to post #517 in this thread. Easy to get cornfused with all of these posts that cite specific posts.

I've never heard the first song before. It is a wise admonition. Thanks for posting it, Daniel! The second most of us have heard thousands of times. They are both very good songs.

It's been what? Fourteen years since I've seen you and your wife? Friends, I must honestly relate that Daniel most likely could NEVER have made a better choice.

Suffice it to say that Patti is a singularly wonderful woman. And beautiful too.

Addition:
So sorry, I missed what you wrote about your overwhelming masculine beauty.
Great apologies, Daniel. I can't get a handle on your appearance all of those years ago. My bad?

Your better half certainly registered on me, but truth to tell I can't recall an actual face from memory. Yet what's left from memory was impressive in many ways.

Used to think I never forgot a face. So many illusions fallen by the wayside!

Argh, more flaws of mine exposed.

as they say, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

One just because I like it and it's the real human condition -if we are lucky, and my understanding is you are one of the lucky ones Daniel

Mood. Music has always been filtered at lest for me by my mood. That 'ol music/emotion interface.
In retrospect I'm amazed at the quality and number of artists that just didn't play for me upon my first hearing them.

When you first posted this I only heard the whine in a voice overwrought with emotion.

I still hear that but after several listens I got hook up.

He's a man with all his eggs in one basket. Anything happens to Lila and he's toast.

But how to convey that..perhaps with something of a whine in your voice?

Why listen if the first hearing isn't the best.

Well because people with whom I have much in common musically really liked a given song.

I have assured myself that they can and do hear what I hear and that I can and do hear what they hear.

So when it happens that I just don't get something that they see much in. I have to look to my mood.

My mood has improved enough to really like this song. Hang in there Cookie, Lila is due for a break and will be here soon to be nourished by your smile.

This song is a poor man's feast of love, At loves table rich men starve.

Many thanks Por Por.

She does a great take of this tune. Who knew it was written by Roy Orbison in 1963? Not me.
Thanks PPM!
Me! I knew!
But that's just because I've never heard a cover of this song I didn't like.
Except the part about 1963.. I didn't know that.

I just though "Timeless."

Last time I noticed it was still spinning as usual. I haven't heard the Mr Joel selections in many years, looks like he's out of favor on Dan's zone. Always something!

He's not out of favor! I like some of his stuff whole big bunches. just that I personally don't really connect with a lot of his stuff. this happens all the time with me. We just don't really run in the same groove.

I think that's why God created more than one singer.":O}

Here's one that jumped the track and landed right in the middle of my appreciation.
I absolutely love this song not because it's better than his other songs. But because this song deepens my groove.
Thanks Billy! Will add song at al ater date when You tube stops screwing up,,,sorry.

Thank you! I looked for over an hour and could not find a suitable replacement.

Boy, Emmylou really put herself into this song, I had no idea how much she added.

I sorta wish that "post 22305" and "post 18874" were cross indexable. Because I can't tell what song or songs you are referring to.

Ooh, ooh! Finally the stars reached the right place in the firmament, I found out something that's very important this evening. You know those over-sized guitars that have 4,5, or 6 strings on them--they are mostly very fat strings as well?

Turns out that I can hear them extremely well now very much thanks to Mr Daniel~ and Patti ~!
They sprang for new Bose speakers for a Christmas present for yours truly. They were a bit of a pain to get working because my PC was DETERMINED to share the ""wealth"" of the speakers that are built in to the monitor. My old friend from computering daze long ago figured how to murder these wondrous """hi fi """ pieces of Asus *&*&. Yreka! Or even Eureka, I actually have serious sound quality in my very own home!!!

Words fail me. Thank you sincerely Dan and Patti!

Purly a selfish move on my part. I could not stand the though of anyone not being able to hear "May this be love."

But you tube has made of me an enemy!

The one day I really really wanted to post a song, you tube can't load anything for me. Is anyone else seeing this? It starts to load then gets stuck in the circular arrow trying to load!!!

I really wanted to stand over George gloating as he become engulfed in Emmy.

You right Georgie, it's always something.
What does your music collection look like George? I have 4640 songs on thumb drives..need one?
a thumb drive I mean.

That goes for anyone on GOL staff. Send me thumb drive I send you music of my ages.

Enjoy George! You had this coming to ya!! ":O}

I'm going to go see if a previously posted "may this be love still works.
