Do I know this song? It's my anthem! It's my epitaph! But I learned it in nefariousness gatherings encased in memories deeply clouded but full of laughter. It was always followed by or preceded with "Don't Bogart that joint my friend." This is the first time I've heard a store bought version...worth every penny I'd say.
I wonder if Youtube monitors your amount of DLing and gets stingy after a while? Kinda makes sense in this over monitored world?
I'm thinking that MAYBE I heard this but was stoned and missed it way back when. It's very amusing and also hits the spot in truthfulness in a way I'm somewhat loathe to admit. Nolo Contendere, yer honor.
Unfortunately it's not possible for the "regular audio video gear" equipped person to try to ascertain the validity of these videos. All I know is that if I witnessed the ones that were the most easily seen as unusual in person they would freak me the flock out.
Of course we should laugh! Other wise we will have worked for decades on our pain and sorrow for nothing! LOL
Your already freaked out! And who wouldn't be! But I'll add this the girl in the train/pushing hands... Watch again as you would as movie critic. I would debunk it as just plain bad acting. Watch the supposedly terrified men trying to look terrified. if this was in a movie I'd give it two stars. Why two, because any effort at all deserves at lest two starts. But this begs the real question. Are their forces at work in this world that are beyond our understanding... How best to get this across.... You've heard of women right...?":O}
The world of music...As huge a place as it is; Is still small enough for these good people meet and create the world of music. How wonderful!!
I hope this plays here, I've I have searched for it since we started. I'll post the lyrics so it won't be a total loss if it won't play, Warsaw 1941 Song by Johnny Clegg Lyrics Amambuka, amambuka azothengisa izwe lakithi, izwe lakithi He was taken in the night They came without any warning No time to hide or fight They came like bees aswarming The questions start to fly Will he break or will he defy? Can he withstand the worst that is to come? A child in a man's clothing Resisting the fascist' ploy The underground puts iron in the heart of any boy Swimming in a sea of pain, he knows this is the end He hears himself whisper the name of his best friend I never betrayed you, and I never betrayed the revolution I just didn't want to die alone, I needed you to see me home And if I could save you, and if I could find a solution I would die a thousand times, to get you out of here Sharing the same cold cell Betrayer and betrayed An island with two frightened castaways Not a word is spoken, How can he explain? Through swollen eyes they watch the dawn's first rays It's all over now They stand backs to the wall Waiting for the fascist's sword to fall In the desperation of a young life about to end He turns before the bullet And forgives a friend I never betrayed you, and I never betrayed the revolution I just didn't want to die alone, I needed you to see me home And if I could save you, and if I could find a solution I would die a thousand times, to get you out of here Songwriters: Jonathan Paul Clegg Warsaw 1941 lyrics © Rhythm Safari Pty Ltd
This is so strange! It won't play for me on You tube...But If I take the URL from you tube it will play here!
Yes, but the men seem to "fly" from street level to a spot a couple of feet above up the side of that bus. Yet I find a lot of possible "bogusity" in that particular vid.
I've noticed that a lot of his work sounded great in the "70's"- not so much anymore. Another great one that failed the test of time
I wanted to post this for a long time but couldn't remember enough to find it. perspective: Today this is the most popular song to play in England...at both Funerals and Weddings!! I learned this recently from Eric Idle appearing on the Bill Mar show. He commented that they had to update the song as the Universe is ever so much larger than we thought when he wrote this song.
This song rises from the deeps to break upon my shore. Love Is the Seventh Wave Sting In the empire of the senses You're the queen of all you survey All the cities all the nation Everything that falls your way There is a deeper world than this That you don't understand There is a deeper world that this Tugging at your hand Every ripple on the ocean Every leaf on every tree Every sand dune in the desert Every power we never see There is a deeper wave than this Swelling in the world There is a deeper wave than this Listen to me girl Feel it rising in the cities Feel it sweeping over land Over borders, over frontiers Nothing will its power withstand There is no deeper wave than this Rising in the world There is no deeper wave than this Listen to me girl All the bloodshed all the anger All the weapons all the greed All the armies all the missiles All the symbols of that fear There is a deeper wave than this Rising in the world There is a deeper wave than this Listen to me girl At the still point of destruction At the center of the fury All the angels all the devils All around us can't you see There is a deeper wave than this Rising in the land There is a deeper wave than this Nothing will withstand I say love is the seventh wave Songwriters: Gordon Sumner Love Is the Seventh Wave lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC
A tip from Harry Houdini " I never ask how they did that when I want to understand an illusion. I just ask how could I do that." Harry looked into every type of magic, talking to the dead, supposed telekinesis fortune telling. He publicly exposed them all. Harry wanted to believe. He just never allowed himself to be deceived. And he held in contempt those who preyed upon the superstitions and fears of those less well trained and less observant than himself.
Elton was always a first class keyboard man, I don't much mind his singing either.":O} Not at all bad tune.
