This I remember for a different reason... which is to say I remember how we children butchered this one for our own amusement.

Butchered how you ask?

Perhaps Christmas
comforts most those hearts that will never be still
who live this life as a searching light placed in a window sill

To be honest, I'm not really surprised, but to meet a kindred spirit always shakes me a bit
as I sense the coming wonder.

Just stumbled myself across him. As is usually the case with me.We lived very different lives
to look back over the same truths.

I find myself a bit envious of those who served under him.

Shazam, what a lot of posts! Most Christmas carols take me back to childhood, don't really know if I have a favorite, I like most of them a lot.

It's quite a bit different than most renditions. We used to profanely change the lyrics to this one, too. Can't remember how but we weren't at all reverent.

What a great song writer Mr Lovett is! This is perhaps my favorite song from him.
 
I have already posted "Big John" by Jimmy Dean...
So like, are there any "Good" songs left?
