This I remember for a different reason... which is to say I remember how we children butchered this one for our own amusement. Butchered how you ask? Hows this? We three kings of orient are we tried to smoke a rubber cigar But it was loaded and it exploded scattering the kings that no longer are! Hey! You asked! LOL
Perhaps Christmas comforts most those hearts that will never be still who live this life as a searching light placed in a window sill to give light to those who be missing and to show that they are waiting and always will.
To be honest, I'm not really surprised, but to meet a kindred spirit always shakes me a bit as I sense the coming wonder. Just stumbled myself across him. As is usually the case with me.We lived very different lives to look back over the same truths. Chris if your son is still dragging himself over the coals and berating himself each night in bed. He might find himself in what is to follow. I find myself a bit envious of those who served under him. "A man for all seasons."

It's quite a bit different than most renditions. We used to profanely change the lyrics to this one, too. Can't remember how but we weren't at all reverent. What a great song writer Mr Lovett is! This is perhaps my favorite song from him.
A well done version of an old favorite of mine. If you take the time to watch this please note the ministers shadow that enters and listens. I just found it of interest.
I think she shows a particular talent for describing her creative process. and Sweet is the melody that flows from it.
