Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

He was never center stage for me. But for a decade or so way back when he on the outskirts creating beauty. Thanks Tom.

It's kinda awesome. When you speak "Mac Rebennack" many folks dunno that he was also Dr John Creaux as well as Malcolm John Rebennack Jr. And I was one of them. Shame on me, who cares what his name really was? He was a fantastic musician who greatly helped the art of music expand and improve.
But it is interesting. For most performers their name is their meal ticket. It how we know where to go to get the good stuff!

But the good doctor kept breaking the old and taking a name.

I have been remembering and forgetting this one for a few days now...So I booted up just to post it! ":O}

I saw the NRBQ at Bumbershoot one year. I'm a fan of the bass player, Joey Spampinato. And especially like Al Anderson their guitar player and star vocalist. He can be amazingly tender and sensitive. Which the band in the main is surely not.

In memory of the great Ric Ocasek, who we lost last week at the age of 75. This is rock 'n' roll...

Hard to believe he's 75.

Harder still to believe I'm 70.

"I know it's only rock and roll
But I like it, I like it"

I always thought that "The Cars" was a strange name for a band. Liked "Just What I Needed" a lot back in the late Seventies iirc. Love to see the bass player singing lead.
