    Try Wine 1.7.53-steam_crossoverhack
I tested it and could browse the Store in Steam in PlayOnLinux

Arc seems to work just fine with wine 1.7.55. You can click on your library and if Neverwinter is in your library then click install. If not then log in to your account with yor web browser and add it. However since wine 1.7.55 works just fine then click on your Arc install in playonlinux and click on config. select the + button to select a new wine version then when it is installed, click the down arrow to get the drop down menu to select it. Now close that and launch ARC and it should work.

It seems no matter version of wine you try, when you click the installer it crashes wine. Yes even booman's crossover hack cases a crash! Hopefully when 1.8 comes out it will fix this. I know the wine project is in a code freeze as they prepare to launch 1.8.

The steamwebhelper.exe problem still exits with wine 1.8 RC1 and the winestaging versions.

    Ugh! You are kidding!
I wonder if they are going to fix it?
Did I mention PlayOnLinux devs already patched a fix?
    Wine 1.7.53-steam_crossoverhack

Considering the name, I'm sure Wine devs are aware of a fix, just have not implemented it into stable versions yet

Nope wine 1.8rc2 does nothing more than rc1 did which means most of steam and TS remain broken!

Interesting, I'm surprised the crossover_hack version didn't work.
It worked perfectly for me and I could browse the store again.
Make sure to use a 32-bit Wine and 32-bit virtual drive

According to Bugzilla ,it only works for the default wine win version. I think that is Vista now. Unfortunately Train Simulator requires at least win 7. That might be why it doesn’t work. I hope Erich Hover or someone makes the wine thunck as they call it, work at the other win modes. They also need to get it working in 64bit mode. Eric Hoover is trying to get it working in 64 bit but he says it doesn’t work yet.

I know Wine developers will get it fixed. They always do... in time
Just keep checking the shortlogs when they post the newest version:

I am subscribed to the wine release email list so I know right away when they release a new version even before the Distro packages come out! It also tells me what new bugs were squashed and who did what. :)

    I doubt it
This is a pretty serious problem and when they fix it the changes will be rolled into the stable 1.8 version

If you set win mode to XP it works. They should change the default to win 7 and work on getting steamwehelper.exe to work at win 7 and above instead of just XP.
