Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

They do a wonderful job with this song but they really only add ornamentation to a song that needs no, wait demands no ornamentation.

Just my opinion.

I thought it good to hear feminine voices tell us of this great journey.

Sorry George, but your the one who got me hooked!!

The consistently high bar he maintains is remarkable.

As a rule I really enjoy it when complexity in a song leads to a more Persis expression of the feelings being conveyed.

But this song overwhelms me with it's shear simplicity the clarity. The feelings expressed have echoed within me all though my years. God bless you Fats where ever you are.

I can't eat just one.

It seems to me that before the electric guitar the pond that rock and roll skated upon was the Sax...Now I love the E.G. but I sure do miss that sax sound from early rock...Somebody bring back the Sax Please!!

It's fallen to me! I see my duty clear. I must act! I'm bringinf back the Sax

Fats sings sax

The day dance died in America.A dance so banal that no one had to learn how to do it!
Yet uncounted hoards of Americans managed to injure them selves doing it, I'm sorry but I find that hilarious. Don't waste your time waiting for a variation. there isn't one

Yeah...but I recall the sound of this song as being super-charged with a get up and go like few others of the period. I love Chubby Checker, he was nearly a god to me.

Loved him the first time I heard him. And always will!

I agree. As a separate subject a really raucous sax made some early Sixties records fantastic.
