This one got me and now won't let go, Check out this lyric "I'm living in a powder keg and giving off sparks!" WHAT an image!
I posted this right? Then I'm sure you'll want to hear it again...I know I do! ":O} Even so you still like the banjo right?
This to encourage George to hook up his newly adjured speakers. Come get some love George! 2mins 36 seconds in, unbearably mounting bass tension resolves itself into ecstasy on just one high clear note.. it's like a magic trick! I laugh and cry every time, It's a bunny out of a hat for me.":O}
I can't argue, it is one hell of a song. Embarrassingly I missed the "I'm living in a powder keg and giving off sparks" lyric. My bad.
Copying the capo on the guitar with one on the banjo gives the game away. It CAN'T be spontaneous. "Deliverance" is not one of my favorite flicks. The "grunt like a pig" part just soured me on the whole movie. Call me squeamish, fine by me.
I greatly enjoyed this tribute to Paul Simon on tv. Wonder if we'll see the like again? Allison Krauss is amazing, I love the way her looks have changed for the better with age. OK, I'm shallow.
I want a pal (who really needs the money) to hook up the speakers for me. But first, another friend who also needs the dough must build the shelf. But before that I have to ditch the ringworm. It IS alleviating, thank goodness. The problem is that ringworm is contagious as hell! Thank you for asking, I certainly haven't forgotten your and Patti's most kind and generous gift!
I must say that this is a radical departure from Emmylou's usual material. Not sure that I like it all that much.
The horns in this song are tasteful, Mr Morrison must be acknowledged as a musical genius. Saxophones are the coolest, and I know that Van is Irish. He set up his parents with a little record store in San Anselmo Ca many years back. A pal saw him on the street once in a while and said "hi." For some reason, the Brits just LOVE brass, solid brass, not the Saxophone. Maybe because they've accepted the concept of a Royal Ruler for far too long? God, I hate royal families!
Juice Newton recorded some really good ones. Hank DeVito, the long-time steel guitar player back in Emmylou's Hot Band days produced "Queen of Hearts." Another perhaps useless factoid?
I love women, life without them would be beyond unbearable. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=simon stops sian and asks her a second song watch what happens next Please select the first selection. The fourth down is more spectacular!
