Try to console yourself with this thought. We take our music with us when we go. We bring it with us when we come and it follows along with us when we go. Only the very best do we bequeath to the those who follow after us. I don't know about you but I'm not giving up my collection just to get in some 'ol heaven!
"Everything is beautiful in it's own way." Arrgh! I've hated this song and its concept since the first time my ears were struck with its insipid horror. Thank god my ears haven't been ""blessed"" with it for decades.
I had a secret crush on a woman I used to sing with locally. Our teacher(the Lord bless her and save her from anything bad. She was and I hope is an overwhelmingly fantastic music teacher) used to hand her simple percussive rhythm instruments casually as we sang. She played them all flawlessly. Including castanets, so they hold a special place for me.
Perhaps, just perhaps the freshest distro from Mint doesn't handle music videos all that well? The barest possibility, naturally. Perish the thought!
Spanish ladies in spiked heels whirling like dervishes straight backed and filled with the grace of movement. Will this ever be as old as I am, I think not. ":O}
Needless to say I've wondered what going on. When they play they play beautifully. when they don't there doesn't seem to be anything you can do about this. Have we an avid explorer among us?
I may have already Bopped you...but just in case There was a time in Lemon Grove when if you asked any one under 4 ft tall what they wanted they would break into this song. "Oh baby you know what I like" I thought it was a scream and enjoyed seeing all the different revisions. I of course was over 5 ft tall at the time.":O}
We are in the hands of fate, so why... https://youtu.be/HhmkZ5yp8w4?list=PLSy831CbqEp3H5EQwMtUyEOJMGiOsoLU0
A repost of this great classic from yesteryear is extremely welcome! I was very young as well, but it was not my fault. Sometimes I was innocent, yay!
Another repost. Mr Knopfler's own version of this song is quite beautiful, btw. You can't really judge from videos, but it looked like Mark Knopfler may have developed a "thing" for Ms Harris (who in their right mind wouldn't, I ask you?) when they worked together. Emmylou firmly discouraged this. Oh, the pain.
Maybe, just perhaps, you might think about using an older version of Mint in pursuit of playing many videos better? Heresy, I know. Sorry!
Hopefully this is a funny bone tickler. (I far prefer the original "MmmMmmMmmHmm" by the Crash Test Dummies" but Al deserves a gold start for trying)
