Good luck with the eyes. The government here in Laos recently did my mother-in-law's eyes, and she's happy as a clam now.
I'm still here in Laos because we're having some work done on the house and I'm supervising, but Lee and the kids are back in Thailand and the kids are back in school, thankfully. Anny turned 19 and she's a senior now, planning to go forward and study hotel and hospitality management in a vocational college next year. She's got 3 languages under her belt and is now studying Mandarin.
Daniel is 16 and is getting on well at school although his classmates are nearly 2 years younger than he is. He still has his older friends as well. He's playing his guitar and is in the school 'stage band' which plays contemporary stuff. He comes here once a month to make sure the old man is still vertical and keeps me company.
Otherwise we're all healthy, pretty soon all this trouble will pass and things can get back to normal. We're half-way there
