The promised recounting of my adventures in internet providers and takers!
Around six months before covid 19 hit Centurylink canceled my Email
They decide that the 6 or so emails a week constituted spamming, so off I go. After many many hours talking to C.L. reps I give up and learn to live without email.
Then around 5 days ago, with nothing better to do they decided that I haven't payed my bill in 6 months and want payment NOW!!
So here's what happened.
4years ago when we moved here we tried to get our internet transferred to our new residence, 4 years ago mind you! But there was no internet here at that time, we canceled.
Cov id hits and they are restrained from canceling anyone.
Times up and they cancel me.
After many hours pulling threads we find got it straight!
We have internet on auto pay at our credit union.
They have been billing us for the old addy and the new.
So they are going to cut us a check for around 4000 bucks for the old address which they have records of us cancelling, but Century-link dropped the ball and continued billing us along side the new account they we later got installed.
