Brothers in Arms
dIRE sTRATS
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home was the lowlands
And always will be
Someday you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn to be
Brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction
Baptism of fire
I've watched all your suffering
As a battle raged high
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
So many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line in your palm
We are fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Well then me George, You should have the lyrics!

I am actually shocked to hear that you've never listened to this masterpiece before, George :)

As a kid I listened on the radio I could not believe that
There was a Yogi The Bear playing baseball
Evidently a lot people shared my credulity!.

Yogi was something else something rather rare and fine.
Yogi quotes!

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

It's like déjà vu all over again.( my fav!)

You can observe a lot by just watching.

Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.

No one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded.

Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours.

The future ain't what it used to be.

If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else.

A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

Yogi always reached for the stars
But no one pressed charges.":"O}

My favorite among many favs by John!
It's the doooh dooooh doooh that gets me every time.!

I'd come home from overtime in the shipyards, sit and even before I took off my 500 pound laced boots I'd put this on and smoke a jay.

Our domicile at the time was high above lake Washington, and so was I ! ":"O)

I most likely would not have stayed with this one if not for the video. But music and video really grew on me. Big thanks Me George!

I want to say more.":O)
This is a perfect reflection upon turning inward,
At first we feel completely alone, underground encapsulated
isolated in darkness.

Then the first fears arrive and we do not feel equal to the task
those fears place upon us. So we run, so they chase as we are the life of those fears and with out us they parish.

For a time we feel we might out distance them, then we feel if we don't out run them they will overwhelm us.

Exhausted, we finally come to ground and excepting our fate turn to meet them.
They are fears without number and they reach to take our entire lives from us and leave us always in darkness.

But there was something in a;ll that running we never expected.
Fear has grown something within us.
And we find for the first time our true courage.
"Wondering where the lions are!"
We are in shape and ready for the fight that will end us!!

We turn steely eyed upon that fear that would be us for us and They see that "I am not the man that you gave chase to and you are my natural prey!!"

I more terrible than any fear that would assault me
sit in peace upon this throne where nothing within myself dares challenge me. I am that which fear dreads for I can now hear the angels sing.
We were never meant to live in fear, but to master it
We must rule, we have no choice but this.
Rule or be ruled over.
Becoming a self, there can be no greater journey.

Well that's what I heard anyway! ":O)

Ricki Lee Jones - Satellite

We were born forever
We are twinned in a fugitive mind
Friends should stay together and
Light the world with the fugitive kind
So you keep talking in many languages
Telling us the way you feel
Don't stop confiding in the road you're on
Don't quit, you're walking satellites
Walking satellites
She laughs satellites
A room filled with satellites
Ah, walking satellites
We were born forever
Tunneled into the fugitive night
Friends must stay together
Code the world with the fugitive light
I just saw you walking
Ice was reading fortunes by the moonlight
Casting runes on the rooftops and alleys
You'll never read it more than you will tonight
So you keep talking in many languages
Telling us the way you feel
Don't stop confiding in the road you're on
Don't quit, you're walking satellites
Walking satellites
She laughs satellites
A room filled with satellites
Ah, walking satellites

"We get to carry each other."

Is it getting better?
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you now?
You got someone to blame
You say, one love, one life
When it's one need in the night
One love, we get to share it
Leaves you baby if you don't care for it
Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's too late tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one but we're not the same
We get to carry each other, carry each other
One!
Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head
Did I ask too much? More than a lot
You gave me nothin' now it's all I got
We're one but we're not the same
Well we hurt each other then we do it again
You say love is a temple, love a higher law
Love is a temple, love the higher law
You ask me to enter but then you make me crawl
And I can't be holdin' on to what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love, one blood
One life, you got to do what you should
One life, with each other
Sisters, brothers
One life but we're not the same
We get to carry each other, carry each other
One
One

When we dream we create ourselves
When we create we give structure to our dream.
Wakefulness is the reality we create together
The collective dream conditions and shapes the
personal dream and the personal dream infuses spirit into the collective dream.

What we are seeing in the world today is the mess that arises when we forget that we are not the only dreamers
so ours cannot be the only dream.

All of nature dreams of us, which is to say dreamed us.
but we have broken the collective dream and forgotten
it is better not to dream alone.

we think in our dream world that we can live in our personal dream even as it takes further and further from the dreams of life.
We were never meant to live in our personal dreams nor in our collective human dream. They cannot sustain us
But in the broad and expansively expanding universe dreaming it's personal dream of all of us.
We have only this, our only role to play. We dream of the spirit
that dreams of the God who made it.
We dream together
We dream alone
We dream of nature that created bone.
We dream together but we go home alone.
We dream and awaken to another dream
The dream of man, dreams of conquest
and actions without consequence.

In essence we get off on the wrong floor.
We should awaken to the dreams of spirit and unity.
That's our job. Is why we don't find it in the world
We were suppose to bring it with us when we came
The dream that can damn us is the dream we cannot awken from. Lost in a personal dream we lose the world.
And an entire world that dreams of us dies.

P.S.
Beause this is the ony music I kinow how to dream in.":O)
