I don't think this song charted very well in America--if at all. As an American, I thought this tune was ridiculous. Passed it by forty three years ago. It debuted at Number 1 in Britain--the first #1 hit penned by a woman. It was number one in quite a few European countries as well.

I like it a LOT now. It grabs me firmly in a hard to describe way. Glad you got a smile from it!
 
Teo Gertler, eh? This kid is freakin' amazing! At least one of his parents has to be a musician---and a very fine one too.
What I've been noticing of late is these wonder kin Don't just pick up the instrument, but also acquire the classical "Posture". The face expressions and the way they hold their little bodies.
it's like they were poured into the mold of music.
