Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

How do we know Greatness when it arrives?
One sign might be that it reveals truths previously unknown.
The it shapes truths just coming into focus.
Another may be found in that Greatness brings simplicity to the forefront.

Linda was simple direct and honest and she made of herself great music and lived her life with a raw courage we seldom get to see.

I find this song to be some what singular. He begins by telling us of his life but quickly digresses. To to tell the people\ of all those who contribute to his performances
the Roadies and everything they do for him. And this leads us back to his life on the road. The grind that onboard entertainment as they roll never quite seems worth it.

But then he brightens tells them they make his life worth while.

"The only time that seems to short is the time we get to play."
Then he reminds them that then have the power to kill his show or take it to the moon.
THEN he takes us into "Stay" And pleads with his audience to let him do just one more song before he has to go.

But some one has to tell me Who was that tall Red dress with a VOICE!

That's a good post, George. They are at Gordon's house, but Gordon isn't singing, just walking around behind them in an attractive brown wifebeater sucking on a cigarette, lolz. Roger McGuinn and...uh... Bob Z hisself [nice hat Bob]

If you get a chance, watch Scorsese's Rolling Thunder Revue, the documentary this clip comes from, about Dylan's tour back in the 70's sometime.

"In an attractive brown wifebeater??! No comprende Senhor. I've seen Mr Scorseses's Rolling Thunder Review. But thanks for the memory jog.

While we are here, Mary Wilson of The Supremes died earlier this week She was 76 years old. I wasn't crazy about all of The Supremes work, but a lot of it genuinely hit the spot.

ahhh, OK. Maybe it's a New York thing, a 'wifebeater' is a weird slang word for that kind of sleeveless tank top Gordo is wearing in the video

Thank you very much for going to the trouble of explaining what a "wifebeater" is. Ah so. Personally, I hate those "bra-style" undershirts. They look better on a muscular and not fat man.

T-shirts for me. I was never muscular and nowadays my weight just isn't flattering.

Seems like it's becoming old hat for you, but Southeast Asia is a pretty darn exotic spot compared to Cleveland, Peoria or even Los Angeles. I'm overjoyed that being locked out of your accustomed abode because of Covid19 isn't ruining you financially. I sincerely hope I have that right. Because the illness is almost unknown in Laos---wth does your old same place keep you out? Even with a certificate of "Hain't got the disease!?"
The overwhelming sociability and goodness of the keftist admirationals that run Free landia.

I don't know the quality of the sunsets a few hundert miles west of my old hangout.
All I can say is that they were unbelievably spectacular. But the sunrises were boring, boring and boring. Kinda weird. On the east coast of Florida I was treated to fantastic sunrises and boring sunsets. It's always something.

She was a great and would be still if her illness hadn't intervened. She qualifies as a GREAT, whether she can still perform or not.
