Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I miss George. Not you, cloasters, the other one:

Prophet, philosopher and comic all rolled into one.

a voice crying out in the wilderness, a prophet of his time.
if George had lived we would never have elected Chump.

Yup. I was thinking about that today. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. I was watching Monday Night Football with some friends in a bar, and heard it from, of all people, Howard Cosell.

It was second in impact only to knowing exactly where I was when JFK was shot.

Weird how some things stay with us forever.

i was a freshmen in hi school, eating lunch when the news was JFK. most of us just walked home alone.

I don't remember where I was. All I knew was it bummed me the hell out. 40 years. Who knew they could pass that fast?

And my mom was ironing and watching 'As the World Turns'. I was nearly 6, and playing on the floor with my toys. I remember the special news report interrupted the soap opera, and my mom began to sob uncontrollably. She was a big JFK fan.

I called my step mom from Jr High and asked her to pick me up and take me home because I felt ill that morning. In the afternoon our next door neighbor came screaming to our kitchen door. She was hysterical because John Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. I sure took notice of that and joined the millions of dazed and confused and depressed Americans. My father was a Republican of course, but he was away on a business trip and didn't spoil the mood.
