Re: List of native Linux games in Steam Fallout New Los Vegas Metro 2033 Black Mesa I mostly avoid steam when I can...I mostly can":O} But any game Booman can run, we can run, by following his guides!! ":O}
Re: List of native Linux games in Steam Those 3 games are native to Linux? I hope that is true... seems like there were a few games you couldn't run like Borderlands.
Re: List of native Linux games in Steam My bad. I have a slue of older games, like the entire half life series, but I don't load them as I have Black Mesa to play":O} Borderlands ran perfectly in Steam..until securom decided that I was a security violation and ended my game play, why I avoid Steam when I can. I have no doubt that a non Steam DVD version would run like it was born to Linux.
Re: List of native Linux games in Steam Thats right, I remember that the Securom thing didn't affect my computer. Strange I remember Counter-Strike and Half-Life 2 deathmatch not working.
One here: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=332472 X³: Reunion - Linux BETA Available on Steam I believe.
Unfortunately Valve probably won't put it on the list until its official release. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out! Edit: I stand corrected! If you are using the Steam Beta and own the game, it "might" appear on your list. As for the website showing support, we'll have to wait
I've been a little behind since the last post, but there are a bunch of new games on Steam 180 titles isn't bad for the initial launch of LinSteam! I would link to each one but I'm limited to 3 links in one post
But barely a half dozen that have a rating of 85 or above... I'm downloading Linux Counter strike Source...that is a game rather than a server set up for the game right? ":O} Steam gave it to me in Windows ages ago, but I couldn't run it in POL.
It should be the same one. Pretty fun and fast paced action. Also has plenty of bots to play by yourself. Watch those head-shots, bots love em! Most of the games are probably rated so low because there isn't enough ratings yet... I honestly don't like most of them because I'm a FirstPersonShooter and a RPG'er Right now there isn't a whole lot of those on the list... mostly arcade games.
By the way, Tiny and Big: Grandpas Leftovers is a really cool game! Its a puzzle game with physics. 3rd person shooter and you can cut through objects and make them fall or crash together... pretty stinking fun!
I know! What was I thinking? I wonder if Steam can track how many people are actually playing these games?
180 games!!! Check out Receiver... it is a short game by the guys who are developing Overgrowth. The graphics aren't spectacular, but the levels are randomly generated every time you play. The real niche of Receiver is the interaction with your gun. Pickup ammo select a clip load your clip cock the gun Aim fire its all there... kind of a simulation for a pistol.
