League of Legends Guide

league81.jpg

Call on your Summoner to battle along-side minions in the free-to-play MOBA. Level up, buy upgrades from the store and play cooperative with some friends. League of Legends has a lot of competitive action and fighting as you slaughter minions, turrets and Summoners.

League of Legends has received a lot of attention in the Linux world. WineHQ's and PlayOnLinux are constantly bombarded with questions on how to run it.

Conclusion:
League of Legends runs even better with Wine 1.8 I've read you may experience better performance with Wine 1.8-staging as well. I had no problems with my GeForce 550 Ti 192-bit 1GB RAM.

I haven't tested League of Legends in a while so there could be another update that broke something.
Do you have 32-bit libraries installed?
What about your video card/chip... did you install the proprietary drivers?

Next time you launch League of Legends, please click "debug" instead of "run"
Then copy the output of deubug and post it here: PlayOnLinux

Sry for the late reply. After reading your message, I realized I didnt installed my grapic driver xD but well Ubuntu 16.10 had some driver issues I didnt know, (before you mentioned it I didnt installed it) after that my system messed up. lol.
I downgraded to 12.4 and it works fine now. :) Thanks alot.

Whoa, Ubuntu 12.04? You must have an older computer... That version is getting pretty old. I have it on my Chromebook because it supports my Intel HD 2000 video chip. But that is the only reason why I still use Ubuntu 12.04

Actually my pc is not that old. I havent tried 14.04 but Ill do it next weekend. But it works well like this actually. Again, thanks for that nice guide and the little help ;)

Nice, for some reason I thought you downgraded to 12.04
I have a feeling Ubuntu 14.04 will work perfectly for you.

No problem. I should probably update this guide as well, but I don't really play League of Legends.

Wow, this is one of the coolest and most detailed guide that I saw on the Internet and it would be very useful to me a few years ago (at that moment I was just starting to play LOL). I remember that I spent more than 4 hours installing the game and faced a huge number of errors, but I was ready for this and the result fully met expectations. At that moment, I didn’t even think about the fact that it could bring me money in the near future. The funny thing is that now I don’t work and my only source of income is e-sports lol tournaments and I’m glad that I could go all this difficult way and that I even spent a lot of money on boosting my account using services like [URL removed by Moderator]. Now it paid off in double size :)
