Alone In The Dark is an original horror series where it all started! Some of the first 3D interactive games that go all the way back to DOS. Even before Quake and Resident Evil, this franchise has created horrific environments to explore, solve puzzles and slay monsters! Does it get any better?
New Nightmare was released in 2001 by Infrogames and boasts some amazing features like rendered environments, new monsters who react to light and a realistic flashlight where the surrounding objects reflect, appear and disappear. You also get to choose between two characters with totally different stories. So two games in one!
I didn't have any issues playing Alone In The Dark New Nightmare! I did experience one crash while recording, but I have a feeling it was due to recording the screen. I was able to sign into my GOG account in Heroic Launcher, download the game and launch without issues. It's an old game yes, but plays beautifully! Of course you can only use the keyboard or controller because it was developed for consoles as well.
