Yup, just downloaded in PlayOnLinux this morning!
Tested Lichdom Battlemage as it has been a stubborn game make with CryEngine.
Still having problems of course, but will keep trying.

I noticed 5.0 doesn't include the same directX 9, 10, 11 DLLs that we need for compatibility like DXVK.
    • d3d10
    • d3d10_1
    • d3d10core
    • d3d9
    • d3d11
    • dxgi
So I still have to add those to the game folder in order to implement DXVK. I know Wine developers were working on something similar, but apparently its still not functional.... that or I'm not doing it right.

I should have known that it isn't a easy upgrade. Thank you booman!

Well downloading it in PlayOnLinux is super easy, but I don't know how to upgrade in Wine alone.
I think it has to be available in the package manager for your distribution.
And that distribution needs to update the package to Wine 5.0
