Follow my step-by-step guide on installing, configuring and optimizing Necrovision in Linux with PlayOnLinux.

    • Weapon Textures
    • Environments Textures
    • Character Textures
    • Gamma
    • Brightness
    • Contrast
    necrovision42.png

    Advanced Settings:
    • Render Quality
    • Dynamic Shadows
    • Ambient Occlusion
    • Paricles Detail
    • Weather Effects
    • Motion Blur
    • HDRI
    • Volumetrics
    • Weather Quality
    • Multisampling
    • Decals Display Time
    • Texture Filtering Anisotropic
    Click Back
    necrovision43.png

    Rule of thumb:
High settings = More detail, lower frame rates
Low settings = Less detail, higher frame rates

    Conclusion:
I initially tested Necrovision with the Direct X 10 settings but the game wouldn't even launch. So I used the config to force Direct X 9 and it played perfectly on my GeForce GTX 1060. Even though its a typical linear FPS, its pretty fun and the graphics are beautiful.

I only tested with my GTX 1060 which plays just fine.

Runs good with Direct X 10 for me thanks.

Really? I noticed there were a few Direct X 10 installers in the game folder, but I didn't bother installing them.
I wonder if there is any visual difference or performance differences?

I guess it is DX9 I was thinking DX10 is is already installed. I added d3dx10 through install components yet I doubt that forced it in game I would test this if I knew how.

There might be something in the game options for Direct X 10... otherwise it runs fine without it.
