    I saw that too
    I'm hoping for the best
I wonder if this includes DirectX 10 as well? The list of d3dx10 games is small, but I'm sure d3dx11 is even smaller.
Most games are still including DirectX 9 compatibility anyways. Just for those Windows XP gamers who haven't upgraded.

I see one negative thing about this. Could mean that people make ports instead of natives.

I wonder how dx11 games will run though, seeing how many dx9 games require a lot of tinkering to get to run in wine, and even then it's usually far from flawless. Not that I'm expecting that though.

    Its really two sided...
They make more wrapped ports like Bioshock Infinite & The Witcher 2 or we wait for companies to port them native last.
Some companies might consider a wrapper or no porting at all.

If there is no chance of a port then I don't mind Wine or wrappers. Most of my games already run.
The games that won't run in Wine have complex DRM or DirectX 10/11 only compatibility.
All of the rest of my games are running GREAT.

I have a feeling some companies will see this as an opportunity to not port games to Linux and just let us figure it out in Wine.

Well, despite my comments I'm somewhat optimistic. Every month we see more and more games getting Linux versions, and most of these are from indie developers.
