Hard Reset kinda came out of nowhere... its kind of a Doom slash Painkiller first person shooter with unbelievably detailed graphics! Most of the baddies are robots or robot human hybrids coming at you in hordes. One of the great elements in Hard Reset is shooting all the interactive objects that explore or electrocute the enemies. Really destructive and really fun!

Does it run in Linux? Why yes, it runs GREAT and is extremely simple to install!

The Legend Of Grimrock is an indie role playing game made with absolutely professional stature. Boasting high quality graphics, close cooridors, exploration, in-your-face action, 4 classes, and all the weapons, spells, monsters your RPG heart could want.
The unique aspect of Grimrock goes back to the original RPG's of the 80's with grid-like movement & dungeon mazes. In effect its a combination of old skool & modern game engine.

The Alan Wake series has not quite received the attention it deserves. Think of your favorite thriller movie... Alan Wake can absolutely compete with the theatrical settings and interactive elements.
It plays just like a movie, but instead you feel like its yourself stuck in this movie battling light and dark.

Wolfenstein has been a long-running franchise starting with the original Castle Wolfenstein in 1981 to Wolfenstein 3D (1992) as one of the first 3 dimensional games. Then later in 2001 Return to Castle Wolfenstein continued the story by revisiting the original concept but with more efficient graphics and stunning visuals... but that wasn't enough. In 2009 Ravensoft developed yet another Wolfenstein with modern graphical capabilities opening a whole new world in the Wolfenstein franchise.

Of course I wanted to see if it run in Linux...

Unreal Tournament 3 really isn't a name that glorifies what the Unreal engine really can do. It should be Unreal State-of-the-Art!
The UT3 engine is so advanced that many huge successful games like Borderlands, Gears of War and many more famous games were created in its wake!

To this day the Unreal engine and UDK still do no port games to Linux natively, but we can still play our favorite games with PlayOnLinux anyways!

Call of Duty is a well known war franchise in settings from WWII to modern day. When Call of Duty 2 arrived it was packed with a bunch of new features like directx 9 graphics and the ability to play through different WWII scenarios from different countries.
