I have had a history pf near misses with this song, I kept coming in the middle or at the end never catching the whole thing, For me, it asks a heart breaking question for which there may not be an answer.
"Why can't we be like story book children walking hand in hand across the medows?"

Yet I have a hard time thinking that they might be successful as a duet.

But that was far from his only contribution to music. He was a very good guitarist, but swore that Mary was the better guitarist Here is one of my favorites by them.

Les Paul's named guitars from Gibson are very expensive. Played one only once, I remarked that it was very easy to play. But as a bassist Gibson makes no good basses, imho.
