George I want you to sit down and think about what your doing.
I sincerely doubt that TR posted this for any reason other than he wished us to enjoy it.
Musical tastes being what they are I'm sure he realizes than some might not enjoy it as much as he wishes we could.
I've tried many times to reach out to you on this very topic.
So let me put it bluntly.
If I had a daughter and you met her Would you really tell her that she is pretty but there are just so many better looking women?
If I spent years building a house for the homeless would you tell folks I did a poor job and that many could have done it better?
In both these examples does it even matter weather you are factually correct or no?.
You will have done an injury i n order to establish your expertise.
In order to be sure the world knows you are selective and refined in your views
George we already know that of you. We are your friends and so you don't have to be right.
You just have to show up.
As your friend I now need to tell you you can at times be very petty.
When I write something I think has value I expect criticism, sometimes I wish there was more criticism to allow my ideas to defend themselves.
But when I post music I love, music that taken my heart and has elevated my sensibilities
I do so in the hope that we might rejoice together.
Like TR I realize it may not grab others as it does me.
But then again it might and so it's worth the risk that it will not please others as it does me.
Others do not love my wife as I do, They have wives of their own to love.why should it be any different with my music?
But what I don't expect is to have another make unflattering comments upon any aspect of her being.
Appreciate her or leave her alone.
So why doe George continue in this vain?
So that's what I'd like you to contemplate. Why yell at another man's dog?
Call him over, pet him and few will object. But compare him unfavorable and your view will not be welcome.
Even if your a great judge of dogs his owner does not want to hear anything bad about his dog.
The owner doesn't care if conformation is a bit off.Dog lovers care little of that. They want to tell you about the things he's done, what he likes or cats he has chased. They want you to recognize his right to be as he is.
They want you to love him too. If you cannot..Discretion IS the better part of valor.
Fear not, yours is not a great sin. But it is a persistent sin. one you should look more deeply into.
Stop and think. Does anyone else do this? Why don't they? Why do you?
You are my friend, be a friend too of that which I love.
For the record, I personally took absolutely no offense at anything George said. He likes Cuban music, so do I. We don't have to like the same exact music.
Dan, sometimes...
[compelling silence here, lolz]
We need to know the exact moment of your return...So we can resume talking behind your back!BTW, I'll be away for a few days starting tomorrow, so don't talk about me behind my back![]()
For me...The first ten seconds are mesmerizing, That woman moves...captivating.Immigrants have always made this country. After we nearly exterminated the Original Americans that is.
Shazam! Ignoring the female moves in this video is impossible. Smoking hot.
Imagine the poor guy who had to do the casting for this video..He'll never be sane again!Worse! He will always feel FAT!Immigrants have always made this country. After we nearly exterminated the Original Americans that is.
Shazam! Ignoring the female moves in this video is impossible. Smoking hot.
I Like! Humor and music like salt and pepper they season our lives! An old choice one for me, hope you like it as well.
You can still move your hips!? LOLRy Cooder is one of the greatest, he travels far and wide in the world of music.
Hate to kvetch but some music from Cuba without Ry Cooder moves your hips and feet MUCH better. Some of the best music from Cuba leaves me open mouthed in appreciation and shock that some music can SMOKE like that.
Even the repetitive piano part leaves me breathless. The piano part has a name which I haven't learned, oh the shame. I mostly find the piano part annoying.
I know, I know. Only my unsolicited opinion.
