It took me years to find out. I like the art work on the cover of their LP's, it's original and unusual. Betcha it was costly too, water colors are very difficult to work with, at least for me.
 
Well I for one feel I've gotten music out of my system. Anyone have pictures of their favorite coke machine?

Yes, I was pretty sure I reposted it, thank you very much for the first post ThunderRd. Just to niggle, it's a tune originally written and performed by Todd Rundgren.

Negatory in the first degree. Todd may have recorded it along the way, at some point, but he did not write it.

Daryl Hall wrote it. It was most famously recorded by Paul Young, and as far as I know Hall and Oates never recorded it.

I did not post that song, but I've posted other songs and artists from the 'Daryl's House' TV show previously in this thread.

I'm wrong? Again? Thanks for setting me straight ThunderRd! Probably because I'm used to it I like Todd Rundgren's version more. And Hall and Todd's version as well. The cheapo guitar's TONE is too hard to like in this just who in the heck is this Paul Young anyway?
 
One of my favorite blues vocalists. The legendary Bobby Blue Bland, a great loss to blues music. He was a singer who could literally own any song he sang with his trademark growls:


 
And since we're on the topic of bluesy singers AND Daryl Hall, here's my personal favorite Daryl Hall tune. This is about 1985 or so, as well. The guy is now 70, and his voice is as good as ever, and maybe better.

And how good is this? Daryl with Rob Thomas [the singer and songwriter of Santana's 'Smooth'] singing 'Heard It Through the Grapevine':


And just one more, a great rendition of 'Wait For Me' and 'Sara Smile' from 2002. George, you'll appreciate T-Bone Wolk on the bass. He played bass and guitar with Daryl for 30 years, until his death a few years ago.

Truly a great voice! Whoever decided to mix the horn section so loudly disliked Bobby Blue Bland. What an insult! There's a passage where the horns actually sound like a high school marching band.
His voice simply can't compete with the less than super talented horn section.

I would have mixed the horns at half the volume. Or even left them out in the cold. They overpower his voice like a clumsy freight train. IMHO, of course.
