Some of us have to move to Straight Street, I simply had to. Wouldn't be here today if I had insisted that Crooked Lane couldn't be abandoned. YMMV.

Another great loss for the music world. Amazingly talented and tortured, like many others; he helped define the music of our generation.

I recall watching The Honeymooners episode that featured Norton's "poloponies." The first run episode. It was hilarious. Musta been mighty young then. And lived in Manhattan at the time.

Bizarro Land, but few of the cakes look appetizing. Imho.

First run would have been in 1955. Is your memory that good? :)

If the boy had any talent greatness awaits, but if not it could be a very hard world. Yes?

I can remember watching the Jackie Gleason show. within which they created the honeymooners..

I guess I was in 3rd grade. Alice Amazed me. No Cowboy, no TV detective ever displayed her incredible indifference to threats of violence. He could SCREAM his rage in her face, really in her face.

He never got her to so much as blink. His was a raging storm in a tea pot and Alice held the pot
and seem to know just how breakable Cramden was.

What has always bothered me was that theirs seemed a joyless life. And that possibility still kinda scares me.

How is Thailand coping with covid.

Alice KNEW he would never follow through. And Ralph KNEW he wouldn't, as well. That was the secret of Alice's calmness: there was no risk for her to go right back at him, and she did, every time, usually insulting his waist size, lolz.

I disagree that they had a joyless life. I think that basically they had great love for each other, and that WAS their joy. I remember when Ralph didn't win 'Raccoon of the Year' because they dubbed Norton instead. Alice told him not to worry, there was always next year; and that he would always be HER Raccoon of the Year...and Ralph responded with his usual: "Baby, you're the greatest!"

I was wrong about when I saw that famous "poloponies" episode. I was more like eleven or twelve when I lived in Manhattan. Tsk, tsk.

Pardon my intrusion please. AFAIK Thailand is coping with Covid19 very well. How is it possible that we aren't?
