I got to see him in very small venue called the Candy company
In San Diego, now 50 years gone,

I was told a story about Lightning that I found interesting.
The man had gone to see him at a collage football stadium in Austin Texas. He told me that Austin was a big blues town and they sold out.

Lighting showed up a half hour late and staggered a bit coming on stage, Then he spent about ten minutes ignoring the crowd an tuning his guitar.

People were getting restless those tickets weren't cheap and were hard to come by.

Finally he started play, kinda, he just really sucked. This went on another ten minutes and people were getting up and leaving, he said they just couldn't boo Lighting, but they wanted to and so were leaving.

Seeing this he insisted they sit back down, most did.
Then for the first time he actually looked at his audience and smiled.

"You know when you really like and want to be with someone and they just won't please you...then you get the blues.
I just wanted to see if you were lisenting.

He played a hour over concert time and totally blew them away.

    Damn I hope his story was true! ":O}

We were and still are so cruel to people of color I don't understand how we are still alive. We don't have the class to venerate and massively recompense so many people. And restitution won't cover all that we owe.

SPOILER: I am about to rant uncharacteristically

Speaking of the Dixie Chicks, this is going too far now. I'm fed up with this PC shit.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/25/entertainment/dixie-chicks-change-name-trnd/index.html

I suppose that N.O.W. will probably complain that the band is allowing itself to be demeaned by the use of the word 'chicks', because it is intrinsically sexist.

I think I am ready for the whole world to f*** off.

These anal retentive moralists have got to lighten up. Consider the *following* dumbasses, how stupid can people be? [Make sure to watch the videos in the article for the full effect ]:
    https://globalnews.ca/news/7106590/florida-mask-coronavirus-rule/

I also recently read that some movie service has removed 'Gone With The Wind' from its inventory because of its racial references. It's our history, for God's sake. Are we to purge our entire history from memory, or *learn* from the past instead? It's idiocy.

And most people are far too stupid to realize how stupid they actually are.

Ahh, I found it, it's HBO Max:
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-52990714#:~:text=Gone with the Wind has, then and are wrong today".\

Following closely behind are Aunt Jemima, Mrs. Butterworth, Uncle Ben, Quaker Oats, Eskimo Pie, the Washington Redskins, Miss Chiquita Banana, the Frito Bandito, the Land O' Lakes Indian logo, Chief Wahoo of the Cleveland Indians, and Kool-Aid's Injun Orange and Chinese Cherry.

I give up, it's giving me a headache.

    /end rant

As a matter of fact....Stupid people...and this one is a real killer lack the intelligence to know they are stupid.Trumpshit is a perfect example.

    There's real irony here!

If you look around you a can't see anyone smarter than you, it's because your stupid!

I have always hated semantics. But I'm a real big fan of Killer Mike.
(if you haven't heard of Mike, look him up.)

I take a lot of my ques as to what's going in the Black activist community from Mike.

This is the statement that wedded me to his cause.

"If there is anything in America that does not serve black people we should burn it the **** down."

When I first heard him say this (Bill Marr show) I had to take a step back.
But i thought it threw, and I took a great leap forward Now I carry a mach, just in case! ":O)

So I guess my feeling is that if there is anyone in Amercia who is or feels they are disrespected or unwanted..We ought to burn it the **** down.

    That said my God yes there is a lot of silly crap going around! ":O}
One of the errors brought about by stupidity is in thinking that credentials are just a piece of paper and that we should feel free to assert our ignorance as we see fit.

Here's a hard truth. after three years of colossal blunders
40% of the electorate still support him to thegrave. Oh how loyal (or full of shit) the stupid are!

I was kind of hoping that you would comment on the changing political correctness and its stupidity, rather than making this about Trump ;) Everyone is offended by EVERYTHING, and it is happening more and more as time goes by.

I am so glad I do not live in that world of Political Correctness that has become America. Everyone is so damned sensitive. Here in Asia I just sit and watch, and laugh at the idiocy of everyone feeling that they are somehow entitled.

By the way, Dan, did you read my post regarding the Bob Seger thing?

The Lump is functionally stupid only because his universe contains only himself. Surely, let us pray that his reelection will be impossible because 90% of Americans love the Postal Service. He may succeed in killing it. Surely that's a bridge too far?

Then again Americans as a whole don't read.
