Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Of all the wonderful talents I have encountered on America's got talent"
This one that moved me more than even the best,

She grew up fast and in the face of death. Yet she sees clearly what it took half my life to see.

And I got a new quote!

"When it's time to leave this world for a better home someday
the only thing you get to keep is what you gave away."

I listened to several of John's albums back in the late 60's early 70's quite a bit.

What a terrible chair for playing guitar in! Did someone hate Mr Fahey at this venue? Sure looks like it!

He's a very interesting guitar player!
I know you'll think I'm posting this just to torment you George.

But really I'm just helping you to know your enemy.

I don't much care for the arrangement on the opening song. But found this to be an entertain BIO.... But just to pore salt on your wounds Emmy Lou is in it.":O}

I know "everybody loves Mr Nelson." Hate to be different but he's objectionable to me.

Amazing life story, you gotta love her!

As you know by now I'm i love with Leo!

But when he has the unmitigated gall to say:

"I love this song because it's so easy to play"
I could just shoot him! You saw it!! Did it look easy to play to you!! LOL

Crikey, I don't remember seeing Mr Kottke perform an "easy" song. Most of them have to be VERY hard to play.

I try to give a lot away. Not great in the eyes of history but we only have our own histories, really.

I thought "bitchin" was a Southern California thing? The movie was shot in Marin and Sonoma counties mainly. Definitely Northern California. Which I loved living in. I NEVER felt that I belonged in LA. Ever. Just visited the San Diego area during living in LA. My father's GF of the time lived in La Jolla=such a slum, those poor folks that have to live there.

Yes you are a racist. Or rather you are ignorant of the fact that there is no such animal as race.

Among animals there are sub-species, animals closely related but genetically differentiated in small ways but ways that matter.

There are no sub species in the human family. But like cats we come in different colors.
If we were skinned we would all be the same. Only the very most surface of ourselves is in any way different.

As with sports the very worst way to compare anything is by it's surface appearance.
For every great black musician there are a thousand black men who can't play a note.

So how can we judge music by color? If you do you gonna have to listen to a lot of crap.

White talent doesn't face the same hostility in this world as Black talent.
But that's not down to the color of their skin. It's down to white bigotry.

But you can not point to a white man and declare him a bigot as many of us despise bigotry.

Skin pigmentation only speaks to who needs sun tan lotion, it can't tell you who can swim.

Culturally we get a lot of white mediocrity, because they rarely face the same push back as black artist.

I see far fewer "average" black talents, because among Blacks only the strong survive in a predominately white population.

But for every Hendrix there is a Kottke. For every Clapton there is a BB king.

Yes, race doesn't exist biologically speaking. The cultures are so much different between black and white. This some how makes a difference in music. That's all i am trying to say.

This was the theme song of an extremely popular movie by the same name. It also brought the Samba to America.PS I love the Samba!! B":O}
