    This guy is off the planet. Perhaps *the* virtuoso of the mouth harp, John Popper [Blues Traveler]. George, you'll like his *vest*; a harp in every key!

    Here's Blues Traveler again, years later, after Popper lost a ton of weight for his health. Still a 'force majeure':

    Something of serenade over a junk yard fence...I've never figured out which side of the fence I want to be on.

    I know this guy! Didn't he have a spot in the Blues Brothers Movie, forget which one.
    I don't know how many insanely talented people I have prayed for that they might lose the weight and so remain among us longer.

    The one real advantage to a long life is that one gets to bring more of ones self to completion.

    The weight loss looks good on him, but it always does doesn't it? ":O}
    Does my heart good to see him still above ground.

    Great band, no argument whatsoever from me. But I must insist that Mickey Raphael is the virtuoso of popular music on the harmonica.
    He plays on a lot of Emmylou's records but he's in the background most often. Yet absolutely superb in those backgrounds.

    And wearing what is now an $8000.00 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner watch. Bought myself one for my sixtieth birthday. But mine was a 50th Anniversary Model with a green bezel. Gave it away after I turned sixty five. Meh, a watch is a watch. And it ran fast as hell. Swiss Certified Chronometer my ass.

    Beg pardon, but $7400 was a lot of watch for me. Saved for years I did. Tag Heuer is good enough for me nowadays. No freakin' way could I afford a status symbol like Rolex nowadays. It's just that my father had three of them and you just gotta keep up with the Joneses.

    Holy crap, "Blue Moon" was a Rogers and Hart song? I remember this one fondly, it played in my head as I delivered newspapers.

    And it's only two minutes and change long. The very best could be very short.

    For the love of

    Alongside of it being a great song the bass intro is sincerely one of the very best of all time.
    Anthony Jackson all hail!

    It takes a lot of damn Gaul to stick a harp in ones mouth with Popper standing thee. I've have always loved Dan, we share his sense of humor. Now we share his sense of Popper. Thanks TR. This one woke me right up! ":O}

    Poor Dan Aykroyd is a gifted comic actor and I love the guy. But he can't sing one note to save his life. Perhaps he was unaware how ridiculous his harmonica playing next to John Popper was. He played the "harp" a lot in the original Blues Brothers movie. And was pretty good at it.
