Issue1: Game crashed after starting new game from main menu. --> Solved it by setting opengl as the direct draw renderer. For good measure I set glsl support to disabled, and strict draw ordering to enabled (habit after ESO). Issue2: Sound was stuttering every sec --> Solved by quitting clementine. - Follow-up issue: Stutters every few sec for a little moment. Sounds like a partly broken speaker. However this is not a huge issue. Consider something that is barely annoying. Game system reminds me a lot about D&D, but with some differences. Screenshots http://steamcommunity.com/id/aryvandaar/screenshots
Issue3: Game doesn't let you use the mouse or keyboard again except moving around in the map if you use alt tab in windowed mode. Hard to look around at the map with windowed mode --> Solved by disabling emulated desktop and activating fullscreen. Issue4: Game lags a bit during combat, and sound stutters. Thanks for the information. I also backed the game, but have not tried the beta. I was planning to wait for the Linux version. Maybe I'll give it a go when I have the time.
I forget about beta disclosures. You would think companies would want us to post pictures for promotion.
The Steam Overlay works? I've heard Wine fixed it, but haven't experienced it yet. I'm testing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations with Wine 1.7.24 and the overlay crashes them
From what I read, the overlay works for some and not for others. It might also vary from game to game. I keep it disabled still just to be safe.
I usually forget to disable it. Then I'll launch a game and press Esc to skip an intro or video. When it crashes I remember "turn on the overlay"
What are you talking about? You're allowed to share info from the beta. https://eternity.obsidian.net/news/update-84-welcome-to-the-backer-beta
That's kinda what I thought. Why would a company get mad and "legal" over the public promoting their product?
