Prime World ?

Nice, I'm glad they actually offered a page with the required libraries.
When it downloads, try to find the download location so you can back it up instead of downloading it again next time.
Maybe just copy the files to your desktop as a backup.

Now try using a stable version of Wine first: Wine 1.6
Don't install dotnet yet, because Wine 1.6 already has mono installed and it might be enough to run the game.
Install these libraries during your manual installation:
  • vcrun2008
  • vcrun2010
  • d3dx9
Next time it crashes, post your debug output so we can see if it still requires dotnet.
Make sure to install the game in a new virtual drive 32-bit

No problem. Thats why I'm here.
If it looks like Prime World is still needing dotnet, they will install and work in PlayOnLinux.
Its tedious to install them, but it does work.
The first thing to installing dotnet is using Wine 1.5 or earlier
Then install dotnet20 first
After it installs, next do dotnet30, then dotnet 35
I've had errors installing dotnet30, so you just have to try again.
It should eventually install.

There are also a couple of tricks to faking the game that dotnet, visual c, & direct x are installed.

Looks like a cool game.
Is it real-time-strategy and tower defense?
I was hoping it is more RPG style, but I don't think so from the video I watched.
Man, 4 Gig download. I guess thats better than the 12 Gig downloads I've seen with other games.

They are calling it a competitive RPG. "Prime World merges persistent RPG hero development, PvP and story-driven battles and castle building."

I like strategy, so I'll see if I like it.

Yes keep me updated. I'll check some gameplay videos on youtube and see if it is RTS or RPG.
I may download it this weekend and try it out too

Good cause I like em but don't love em enough to purchase them.
