Apparently Microsoft is going to produce two Xboxes as their new consoles. Xbox One S Xbox One X https://www.windowscentral.com/what-does-next-gen-look-xbox-here-are-latest-rumors "S" is going to be the more affordable model while the "X" is going to have higher specs for a state-of-the-art gaming experience. To me, this appears to be anti-console development. Imagine developers having to make two versions of their game for two hardware requirements. I thought the point of consoles was to make it easy for consumers and developers by have a hardware standard for each game. If each console developer went this route, then they have less argument porting to Linux with all of our distros and PC hardware.
